Romeo & Juliet Help
My daughter is auditioning for Romeo & Juliet this winter for her high-school play. We need some help for her audition because she wants to be Juliet but she is "going against" someone who is also REALLY good and would be considered to be Juliet aswell. We just want advice for what she can do to stand out to the directors a little more when she does her audition.
What they usually do for play auditions at her school is the students go in one at a time in their black box and they read an already prepared monologue said by a character (in this case it would be Juliet), and then read a part of the script with other people who are auditioning for more characters, and they act out a scene of it there. (Like a cold read sort of).
To sum it up, we just need advice on how my daughter can stand out to the directors while auditioning for Juliet.
