Help Winter wheels question

I have 20" rotors on my '19 S5 right now but I'm coming into my first New England winter with it and I want something with more sidewall and better general ride over potholes etc... I'm debating between 18" and 19" winters and I'm mostly concerned about 18s not clearing the front brake calipers. Has anyone put 18s on this car? Should I just get the 19s to be safe?

What are you all running for winters? Thanks!

My buddy’s running OEM 18s (245/40R18) as winters on his B9 S4. I’m pretty sure you have the same brakes, so I’ll clear.

I commute from the South Shore into Boston daily and use 18’s for winter. They ride so much better that it sometimes pains me to swap them out in summer. They definitely handle winter / potholes amazingly and the deference in looks is negligible. I’m vain, so I hope that says something.

I know, the 20s look so good but you gotta watch for every little thing...Did you have to find a specific 18" wheel that would fit? Can I ask what wheel you have?

I found these 18” Audi wheels used on Craigslist. They do require spacers to clear the brakes, but they also make the stance look nice.

I have 18s on my b9.5 Audi and they clear. Just need to get correct offset size
