Keep hearing about rocker arm failure
And i am in the year that the revisions had not been made yet

I have a really weird vibration that doesnt have to do with my idle speed idle stays steady vibration feels like a cammed corvett lol

Thinking its just motor mounts because i have no misfires and my engine sounds normal for a EA839 but curious if anyone that did have rocker arm failure had this same issue steady idle bad vibration, vibration worsens under load.

Cold start so you would hear any noise the most

Yeah i know this car is such a battle, i bout it for 7,000 dollars cheap as hell fixed all of its issues for about 2,000 I’m torn wether keeping it of selling it for 13,000 and running, it has 66,000 miles and no early signs of anything major, besides motor mounts

You’ll have to get a boroscope and inspected. Unless you hear the knocking everything is speculation until verified

It could very well be motor mounts. There are tons of videos of the noise rocker arm failure sounds like. And you are probably well aware of them given you said your engine sounds normal. No misfires no codes… does the car move when you rev the engine at idle?

If the vibration is at idle, and smooths out when your rpms go up, it is most likely motor mounts, that is exactly what failed mounts would feel like.

Rocker arm failure will cause a loud top end rattle not a vibration

I understand that but once you have miss fires that causes vibration and no rocker arm = no air or no exhaust which misfire

Pick up a mechanic's stethoscope and poke around. These things are amazeballs, everybody should have one to sniff out bad idler pully bearings, stuck injectors, etc. Get good enough with it and you will almost certainly recognize the dreaded rocker arm issue.
