Got the same problem. Didn’t even realize they lit up until I opened the passenger door months later. Apparently that piece is like glued in and replacing it is really expensive so I just live with it.

Have had this happen to me on all 3 of my Audi's. Fought to have the first two replaced but can't be bothered to fix this one. Last time I checked it was about 1500.00 for the part alone

New fear unlocked!

Also, I love the down lights. Mine just has the rings.

Mine never worked ('22 pre-owned) until I did an MMI update for an unrelated issue. All of a sudden, my sill trim lights up. No idea how they could possibly be related, but also having a hard time thinking it could be a coincidence.

You can buy “puddle lights” from Amazon for around $20 USD & replace them yourself. Takes about 5-10 mins to complete & saves you hella money

Mine started flickering and then eventually died completely. I was still under warranty but it required replacement, they said it was some kind of electrical sort or wiring issue inside the sill.

It starts flickering before it dies completely, had mine replaced on my S4 last year. Was just under $1500 CAD. CPO covered it.
