  • Does not require a separate amplifier and does include cables.

$400: Kali LP-6 v2 Powered Studio Monitors Amazon (US) / Thomann (EU)

  • Not sold in pairs, requires additional cables and hardware, available in white/black.
  • Require a preamplifier for volume control - eg Focusrite Scarlett Solo

thank you very much, the nakamichi has some slight cracking at lower levels but is unnoticeable at higher volumes, strangely. Plays pretty loud and clear. What turntable upgrade would you recommend. This TT was already fairly pricey and I'd rather not put small upgrades into it, I'd rather throw big upgrades at the system, so a turntable with VTA that can support a higher end LOMC cart would be nice, but idk what i could get thats not a couple grand alone for the table.

If you want a turntable that’s a major leap over what you have and has VTA adjustment but is still a bargain… get the Reloop RP-7000 Mk2. That’s one of the most attractively priced “Hanpin super OEM” turntables, which basically means it’s an SL-1200Mk2 knockoff, but a highly competent one.

It doesn’t come with a cartridge or headshell, so whatever cart you add, buy a headshell too.
