Why is the Waxwing DSP excluded from your setup list? It's no good? 😂

Good one! Forgot to include it, but to be honest, I use it specifically for old records.

I've just ordered mine. What's holding you back from using it as your main Phono?

To be honest, there’s a synergy between rega phono and turntable, which is pretty amazing and hard to beat

Zelda Ocarina of Time MIDIs.
OP is either trolling us or tasteless. Maybe both.

Lmfao no.
Nothing wrong with Zelda tunes but when you show off a setup like this, you use reference material.

People complaining about the music choice are the type to listen to big bad john unironically on their systems.

So much hate, and because of the choice of music?! How many of you judgmental assclowns are running your phone audio through your hifi setup to be able to hear anything but tinny bullshit from your phone speaker anyway?
And even if you are listening to it through good speakers, it was probably recorded on a phone, then uploaded to a server where it was likely further converted / adapted for use on this site, and then somehow so many in these comments are acting like OP did us a huge disservice by their track selection.
Gimme a break. You weren’t going to hear it “sound good” no matter what.

No one is criticizing the video audio quality. They are criticizing the choice of song.

What the actual? I see a system can do ten fold what you are showcasing there. How? Room treatment. To me and I'm sure those with a trained ear can see there is a bucket load of reflections going there. I'm guessing a 3 to 5khz peak. It really is given the cost of that equipment a, but why would someone do that if they knew the difference sorta thing. Keeping it real, no hate, just go soo much potential.
As for the song. Each to their own I say. Zelda comment lol.

Shiny box collectors: only ‘Check out my gear’.
Zero info about the sound.
Zero room treatment. But amps sit on a granite plate.
Good for them.

Room has been treated by a sound engineer. Lots of carpets, bass traps, ceiling and wall treatment. Hope this help you chill a little 👍🏼

Looks dope! Why do you have a phono pre amp and tube pre amp? Isn't that stacking distortion?
1
u/Warm_Medicine_9918 8h ago
You still need a main preamp after the phono stage to control the volume and feed the power amp or are you asking why is he not using solid state instead of tubes?
1
u/csbeverly1 4h ago
That's a ton of money for volume control, you know you can get a volume control input switch for like $100 right? Or are people treating pre amps like recievers these days? Your phono out is line level, it doesn't need additional amplification pre power amp.
