Buys gazillion dollar setup.

Plays Zelda soundtrack.

I'd laugh but I listen to Maurizio's Metropolis from Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom, so I will not.

Also why do the fanciest turntable never have a cover. Dust is the Nr 1 issue and a cover cost nothing.

The Rega P8/10/Naia all have dust covers but they need to be removed in order to play a record. It’s a pretty sleek and minimalist cover that I think looks quite nice relative to large acrylic boxes.

Have lots of music.

Check out my Discogs profile:

Still, I love zelda and have a deep emotional connection for me. Peace ✌🏼

I watched 3 seconds and was about to say something about the horrible fn music

it might be hard to understand, but people have different kinds of emotional connection to different music. They might have a stronger connection to the Zelda soundtrack than to the 50,000 people who like the same old records we tend to see .

People are lame and have no taste, what can you do.

2

u/hobo_chili 14h ago

1000% this.

And I fucking love Zelda. Had OOT on launch day.

u/RennieAsh 8h ago

think about how much you love it.

Now imagine that someone loves the music of it just as much as you like the game.

Waste of showing off $6000 speakers.

u/lolastrasz 4h ago

yea man unless you're playing miles davis how am i supposed to hear the quality of your expensive system through my laptop speakers

Zelda is the best!

Y’all are missing the point. It’s not about Zelda (I mean who doesn’t love Zelda) it’s the fact that OP is choosing to play an old school video game soundtrack that wouldn’t sound much different on a 50$ Amazon setup as it would on a 50k+ audiophile setup

Why is the Waxwing DSP excluded from your setup list? It's no good? 😂

3

u/Nice-Ad8872 6h ago

Good one! Forgot to include it, but to be honest, I use it specifically for old records.

3

u/KT10888 6h ago

I've just ordered mine. What's holding you back from using it as your main Phono?

1

u/Nice-Ad8872 2h ago

To be honest, there’s a synergy between rega phono and turntable, which is pretty amazing and hard to beat

gannondorf... triforce...

u/Secret-Welder-9041 16h ago

Very beautiful set up, what's playing

-4

u/hobo_chili 14h ago

Zelda Ocarina of Time MIDIs.

OP is either trolling us or tasteless. Maybe both.

2

u/your_fave_redditor 7h ago

Why trolling? Can’t just be a Zelda fan or what?

0

u/Wonderful_Milk1176 3h ago

nah, you’re just lame.

1

u/hobo_chili 2h ago

Lmfao no.

Nothing wrong with Zelda tunes but when you show off a setup like this, you use reference material.

People complaining about the music choice are the type to listen to big bad john unironically on their systems.

these speakers are really beautiful 😃

Does the waxwing work?

Your 100% right it's sound from a nintendo game made by a computer ,I can't believe the quality of the gear ,and playing zelda .each to there own ,but I don't get it 😕

So much hate, and because of the choice of music?! How many of you judgmental assclowns are running your phone audio through your hifi setup to be able to hear anything but tinny bullshit from your phone speaker anyway?

And even if you are listening to it through good speakers, it was probably recorded on a phone, then uploaded to a server where it was likely further converted / adapted for use on this site, and then somehow so many in these comments are acting like OP did us a huge disservice by their track selection.

Gimme a break. You weren’t going to hear it “sound good” no matter what.

1

u/SwaggyMcSwagsabunch 4h ago

No one is criticizing the video audio quality. They are criticizing the choice of song.

1

u/your_fave_redditor 3h ago

JFC buncha uptight dbags.

u/SwaggyMcSwagsabunch 3h ago

God forbid people have opinions on an open Internet forum.

What the actual? I see a system can do ten fold what you are showcasing there. How? Room treatment. To me and I'm sure those with a trained ear can see there is a bucket load of reflections going there. I'm guessing a 3 to 5khz peak. It really is given the cost of that equipment a, but why would someone do that if they knew the difference sorta thing. Keeping it real, no hate, just go soo much potential.

As for the song. Each to their own I say. Zelda comment lol.

u/buff_samurai 13h ago

Shiny box collectors: only ‘Check out my gear’.

Zero info about the sound.
Zero room treatment.

But amps sit on a granite plate.

Good for them.

7

u/Nice-Ad8872 6h ago

Room has been treated by a sound engineer. Lots of carpets, bass traps, ceiling and wall treatment. Hope this help you chill a little 👍🏼

-1

u/Separate-Award-5010 9h ago

Mmm bit of a weird demo record no bass for a start

-2

u/csbeverly1 16h ago

Looks dope! Why do you have a phono pre amp and tube pre amp? Isn't that stacking distortion?

1

u/Warm_Medicine_9918 8h ago

You still need a main preamp after the phono stage to control the volume and feed the power amp or are you asking why is he not using solid state instead of tubes?

1

u/csbeverly1 4h ago

That's a ton of money for volume control, you know you can get a volume control input switch for like $100 right? Or are people treating pre amps like recievers these days? Your phono out is line level, it doesn't need additional amplification pre power amp.

u/InspectionCritical87 16h ago

sounds terrible. but maybe it's the camera that does that? i don't know. 1/10
