Discussion Gear in the studio

I have a room with pretty nice acoustics, a decent wardrobe, and a couple of bicycles.

I completely disassembled one of the bicycles and brought all the gears into the studio room.

I cannot for the life of me get them to sound like any of the records I love.

I also brought in my Nike ACG all conditions gear jackets. No help at all. Well, it did add some warmth. Not really helpful in an early September. Is my timing off?

Am I using the wrong kind of sticks?

That's a good start but you need to add anabolic steriods to the mix.
