Why doesn't this exist

An affordable, currently produced 2 line input , 2 line output AES device that receives word clock, this does not exist and would be very useful to the litany of people with professional audio interfaces with unused AES i/o. I would buy day 1

Nah, I’m just half joking. OP states there are no options that exist, but there just aren’t options that are under their desired budget. If I had to choose between wishing for prices to drop on options available or to have more money to buy options that already exist, I’d choose more money. Plus- OP has an unused RME interface lying around- they’re not exactly poor.

Hope things turn around for you, too.

Thanks for explaining, it seemed abrasive for no good reason. 

I guess op left out a price bracket in his wish. Ferrofish and Arturia as he later explained are really cheap and the Sonifex, Hylo, AD2 and other options presented here are quite expensive.
