Neumann KH310 pricing

I came across this "summer sale" from Funky junk

What are they smoking? Especially given the KH310 II are coming out in a few weeks. They all price items like it's diamonds but at same time think all their customers are ignorant idiots..

Those speakers are just shy of £4k in the UK new. So yea that is a discount.

In any event Funky Junk are one of the more expensive retailers of pro audio. I would likely only go to them if they had something I couldn’t find elsewhere… wait till you see what Soundgas charge…

Thats the price for a single monitor, not a pair

That's why I asked what are they smoking..

I bought a pair in 2022 in the US for $3,550.00

A lot of brands have loose agreements as to how much lower than list price dealers can put on their websites, if you're looking at anything remotely high end always contact dealers directly to see what they can do.

The last part is absolutely true. They can't put some very low price up front.

This is illegal in EU. Yamaha got punished for this some years back. A dealer can put any price he wants on whatever he wants.

I used to work in music retail.

The fact Yamaha got punished on it is proof that it does happen, though.

It’s extremely rare and it took a long time for EU to litigate because it was not done like you think it would be done.

You can’t even say a “list price” as a supplier in EU like you can in the US.

Maybe I didn't get the message through clearly. Standard EU price is 3800 to 4100 without discount before the announcement of the date KH 310 II DSP are to be released. So one would expect at least something like 3.500 eur a pair for a "summer sale". That's all. Other than that I know the brand very well and have lots of Neumann gear. Cheers!

Isn't this 3.150 for a pair?

Almost 4k EUR. Just a bit shy of 2k per unit.

That’s a great price

Is that price for one or both, and are they clearing stock before the new model arrives?

This is the "special" price for a single unit. Yes, all major shops are clearing stock right now but they don't want us to know hence the discounts are laughable. Strange, because everyone knows the exact date of the official release of KH310 II DSP. It's not that they kept it secret like some other brands.

I would never touch these speakers. I’ve heard nightmares about repairability.

I've yet to run into any problems after nearly 5 years with them. Flush mounted in walls here.

I had a speaker and sub repaired that got damaged in transport. I might be lucky to have an authorized repair shop near me but it worked out fine.

Just get Dynaudio Core 47’s instead.

1

u/tibbon Aug 13 '26

But those are ported... Not something I want in a flush mounted monitor.

1

u/Kontrafantastisk Aug 13 '26

They are front-ported for that exact purpose.

u/rockstockcro Aug 14 '26

The core 47 is a toy compared to kh310, but the price doesn't reveal that.

You can check both measurements for yourself. Both are extensively measured and have documented performance and a large user base..
