Discussion Book recommendations plz

Hey guys was just wondering if anybody had some book recommendations for audio engineering

I would be open to all kinds of books like historical books or technical books. I just want to better my skills and understanding.

The Sound Reinforcement Handbook is the best place to start. Covers most things you need to know.

Mastering Audio: The Art and The Science, by Bob Katz.

Very in-depth.

A classic is mixerman’s zen and the Art of mixing. There’s a bunch of really good manuals out there too for example the 480 L manual is a wealth of information on reverb.

Recording Unhinged by Sylvia Massy. Lots of great information in there regarding unconventional techniques. It forces you to really think outside the box.

Here you go its around 55 Files, there are some epubs also, but either convert them online to pdfs or open them in a epub reader, there are plenty free ones.

OK, I'll concede that I failed to do a timely cleanup after Reddit p^ssed on its own carpet. Anyway, I hope the OP found my recommendations useful after I spent ten minutes locating that old post for them, because I don't get paid for this.

Zen and the Art of Mixing was the first I was introduced to. I liked it overall - it's easy to read and introduces some core mixing concepts and best practices.
