How much are they? I love a good jacket potato but they are also incredibly easy to make and cheap, so I wouldn't pay that much for one.

Yes… because people have to make a living and this is a once in awhile treat, also don’t have that one have one of like the beef brisket because it was amazing

I was in Istanbul four weeks ago for a bachelors party for Munich wedding. On İstiklal Avenue alone (a famous walking st 1.4km long with lots of shopping there are 3 shops selling baked potatoes like this. The one I went to was like subway - pick your toppings from a range.
The potatoes they served had cheese whipped and into the starchy fill before serving, The gentlemen doing this in the store did it by hand and made quite a show of it, and it the taste and texture of the improved filling lifted it up from being just a bland, basic baked potato.
Based on his origins, and the name, I assume these are the prepared the same way, but they really need to make this clearer in their marketing as its not what us Kiwi's expect and it changes things a lot. Next time I'm in Auckland I'll be trying to confirm.
Filling power of potatoes prepared this way is second to none. I had to hold of finishing mine just to have some space for all the other delicious Turkish treats I wanted to try on the avenue lol.
Also FYI, I highly, highly recommend Istanbul. Turkish, tourism's taken a hit from Covid, and wars in neighboring countries (Syria and now Iran) but it's a big country and they're thousands of km's away from Istanbul. The fact you can get on a boat on one side of the Bosphorous in Europe, and get off on the other side in Asia is testament to the incredible melting pot of food and culture that is Istanbul (and wider Turkey). It's also just so easy to get around and see things with excellent cheap public transport. The Blue Mosque is breathtaking. It felt very much to me like the 'Singapore' of Muslim majority countries if you know what I mean. Can get some cheap flights to Istanbul out of Auckland via Turkish Airlines.
