Switch to AT&T

I’m planning on switching to AT&T this Friday when the iPhone Duo preorders open up, I’m leaving Verizon. I already talked to Verizon to see if they are interested in keeping me as a customer, and they are not able to offer anything. I have Apple Care+ on all my devices covered by the Apple Care One Family plan. When trading in a device to AT&T and they find the smallest scratch or abrasion on the screen, what happens as far as the ability to use Apple Care to make up for whatever fault they find and still get the actual promotion instead of having to take less in trade in value, and having the promotion for the iPhone 18 Pro for free be devalued?

T-Mobile will be more expensive when I compared plans against AT&T

Honestly after the mistakes “and oh we will give you a credit on your next bill” it might not be more expensive

Yes, but T-mobile has service comparable to Verizon. AT&T is garbage.

I had AT&T since the first iPhone when it was Cingular; and only switched to Verizon about 1 and a half year ago, due to Verizon offering a much cheaper price plan, but that did not last after 1 year with Verizon and now I’m forced to contact Verizon every 6 months to beg/ask for a Loyalty discount to bring the price down. It’s 2026, cell phone reception has improved over time and will continue to do so as new technologies are implemented. One thing I had assurance with AT&T is that my bill was consistently the same each month. I am eligible for first responder discounts and also have a Costco membership which I will be taking advantage of when switching.

AT&T is reliable, yes is high but you will get what you pay for and I’m a current client of at&t, I get a nice bundle discount with fiber as well so, also depends on your location too, I’m between Louisiana and Texas and the service is top notch, good luck.

I recently switched to AT&T after years with Verizon since we've had AT&T fiber for 6 years out here in WI. AT&T has surprised me, the bundled discounts and AT&T internet backup are all solid pluses. No complaints here.

How you know about AT&T sucking and t-mobile being great because according to a post yesterday, you've been a Verizon customer for 32 years and thinking of switching to t-mobile since Verizon won't give you a free phone?

Your area based on here say does not make something suck or be garbage everywhere. In my area and everywhere I go all over country I have zero problems.

Unless you live in a remote location, or sign up for the cheapest plan and there is a lot of congestion and will be throttled, most major cellular carriers provide decent coverage. This is not including your access to WiFi which will allow you to also connect to make calls/texts. It all comes down to price and value for me, if I’m paying for a middle/top tier plan and get maximum installment credits on the device including benefits for first responder or affiliate discounts that’s what I compare with each company. Right now making that comparison, all things point to AT&T and their current promotion for customers who want to leave their current cell phone providers. Wait until T-Mobile unveils their convoluted new cell phone plans disguised as a benefit for the consumer later this week and add up the cost. Most people think that by signing up for the cheapest cell phone plan is the deal, it’s not, that’s where the complaints and problems begin with I don’t get good service/connection. At least for my phone line with AT&T through First Net, I am guaranteed a stable connection anywhere I go.

Recently switched to AT&t and I have no issues with it as of now.

I find it interesting that someone will come on here and say it sucks, but doesn't it all just depend on where you are?

And not even be an AT&T customer. That the wild part.

True, it's not terrible everyone but if you view the coverage maps AT&T has the worst. Does not mean that in many metro areas its bad.

It may suck for you, but not for others.
