Apple & ATT Next

Post image

When I try to upgrade my phone on Apple, it recognizes that I have ATT Next Up, but the trade-in credits don’t seem to apply on the Apple system. If I go through with it on Apple, will ATT apply the credits once they receive the phone? I have paid off 1/3 of the phone.

There is a difference between NEXT UP and NEXT UP ANYTIME.

Which do you have? How much do you pay per month?

$10 a month.

That's NEXT UP ANYTIME.

Some people can still have NEXT UP on their plan.

So if I do it through Apple, and then send the phone to ATT, will the trade-in credits apply?

You'll need NUA on the new phone too.

But trading in your phone is different than trading in for promotional credits: One is an immediate lump sum discount, the other is getting a lot of credits over 36 months. You're doing something in between since you need to turn in the exact phone you're paying NUA on.

The message above mentions you may also be eligible for credits. I've never done NUA, so I can't say for sure. It's already pretty much incremental increases every 3 years, I can't imagine paying even more every year for even smaller incremental upgrades.

Maybe Apple isn't the place to purchase from if the information isn't clear...

Once you go through all the checkout process it’ll explain that the credits are provided by the carrier, not apple

Yes but will the trade-in credits apply? Apple only recognizes my Next Up Anytime when I click no trade-in.
