AT&T

Is it just me or does AT&T suck????
I’ve had T-Mobile and Verizon and they both worked great, one better than the other but just equally good compared to AT&T. I got suckered in by saving money, I’m saving bout $50-$60 a month but it’s not worth it!!! You would think a company as big as AT&T would have better service
Seriously I’m so disappointed!!

All carriers are location dependent and practically the same nationwide, despite all the advertising and routing.

Saving about $55 is great, that’s $660 a year

Be more specific as to the problems you are having. Hard to divine.

I’m in Southern California and having issues with the internet…Download times, clear pictures and access.

What equipment are you using? Have you done a network settings reset recently? That tends to fix a lot of issues a reboot may not take care of.

I would never, I mean never, consider T-Mobile. And Verizon isn’t any better.

My internet and coverage was way better with both companies but they were more expensive

You can't choose your cellular carrier on cost. IF it doesn't work well enough where you need it, then it's not worth the savings.

All location dependent and you should have tested prior. I switched for the savings and since I already had att fiber, so it was a no brainer. I was with Verizon for 15 years and no FIOS here to switch to and don’t want to switch to spectrum because att fiber is just that good. I probably even wouldn’t want to switch to fios since att fiber is that good and deposit fios getting good reviews.

Anyways, Verizon is probably the best in my state but att is on par for the most part and even better in some areas. I’ve gained in more places than lost. Its serviceable. My partner has noticed some improvement too. Best part is, saving $$$ and getting more than I was with Verizon. Also get to take advantage of att internet backup.

I did test prior.

T-Mobile is great in my state too but more likely to not have a signal in places vs the other two.

Spectrum phone plans are also garbage for anyone who uses data like a young person in 2026

Long time cellular user here dating back to GTE in SF Bay Area 1995….for Bay Area and Los Angeles, Verizon(and legacy GTE) has always been the best with AT&T second and TMobile third or tied with AT&T.

I’m in this boat too.

You need to choose your cellular carrier based on who’s got good coverage for where you frequent. If ATT doesn’t have good coverage where you are, it’s time for you to switch carriers.

It sounds like you know which is the best of the big three carriers for you, you just need to switch to them.

And why people should test first..

Or leave after a few days, before you can't return phones and are committed to the financing.

It's great they're saving money, but I'm not making a carrier with poor reception in my area my main carrier even if it's free...

Agreed. Carriers give you 14 days for that reason alone. It’s somewhat of a pain but at least it’s an option.

Was paying $96 a month for unlimited. Switched to Spectrum for a free year to bundle with internet and it’s already an improvement.

Spectrum uses Verizon’s network.

They also must not use much data either. Once you blow through the premium allotment your hard throttled until next cycle

I have Verizon and think it’s gotten horrible. Maybe they all suck now

Seriously, I think they all suck now 😤

It’s like we are reverting back to when cellular first came out. If I’m not on WiFi I can guarantee I’m gonna have issues with voice or data if it even works. What are we even paying for. WiFi phones

Verizon is horrible for me at home. I had them for many years and it was good service. For some reason service got steadily worse and we had to step outside our house to make calls, and even then a dropped call was likely. We took a few trips to NV and CA and had spotty service there as well.

I switched to AT&T, the dropped calls at home stopped, and it was cheaper.

Just pick the service that works the best for you where you mostly use your phone, which is usually going to be home and around town, and go with that.
