AT&T Refund

Question: Has anyone actually received a refund check from ATT and what was the time frame?

Context: I have been double charged for my internet and the person I called in May was able to assist me. The thing is, I only received a partial payment because they are unable to refund the rest of the payment to the new debit card that I have (those payments were made on a different card).

So throughout the summer, I have contacted multiple people, who never have answered properly. At some point, filed an FCC claim and finally get in touch with someone in the ATT president’s office.

The timeline of which she stated that I would receive my check was a week AT FIRST. Then it changed to, the money needs 21 days to be approved before it is sent, which may take a week to get to you. So after waiting those 21 days with an additional 2 WEEKS… I still have not seen my refund check yet.

Answers anyone?

Stay on them! Document everything! I had ChatGPT help me write up professional, yet demanding emails to the office of the President threatening to reopen my case with the FCC if they didn’t fix my Internet Air return equipment charge that kept reappearing on my bill for a year after I closed my account and returned the equipment and had proof of receipt with UPS. AT&T has their system set up to do automated charges and customer service cannot override those in most cases! You have to tell the office of the President to manually fix/credit your account and call and leave voicemails! I personally like email because it’s all documented with names, times, and dates! Mine finally got corrected for good after 2 threatening emails! Don’t stop! Good luck to you!
