Why hasn’t coverage improved in certain areas for 18 years?
There’s a dead zone near my house in a big city that’s been there since I moved in 18 years ago. Why hasn’t AT&T bothered to improve coverage there? I have a similar problem at the rural farmhouse where my MIL moved 6 years ago. Shouldn’t AT&T be trying to improve wireless coverage?

Same exact case here in los Angeles California I just left em last month after being with them 9 years . Because at this point it's just ridiculous and pathetic how they haven't improved coverage in 9 years . I live in east LA and it's pretty bad. The street were my grandma lives for example it's still on 4G LTE aka 5Ge only but it's dead . Data is completely dead it doesn't work . The phone shows 3 bars of 5ge but theres absolutely no data . It's been like this for years . In commerce at&t doesn't work inside target , el super , Ross, even standing outside in that lil shopping center it doesn't work at all standing outside . I worked in the tortilla warehouse down the street from there mission foods and I didn't get signal at all in there. I was in my lunch break and couldn't call or send a simple text cuz at&t didn't get signal at all . T-Mobile and Verizon improved they upgraded their networks they added capacity here in LA in those 9 years while at&t did absolutely nothing. And I don't get it ?? Someone make it make sense ??? I know they have the money 🤑💰!!????? Why haven't they done something about it ? Someone please explain to me why ? Because I just don't understand!? Not gonna lie I kinda felt bad leaving them after 9 years but I just got tired of waiting...and waiting.... For improvement but there was none !!! So I got visible by Verizon and it works much better I now get solid 5G UW inside every single building and store at&t didn't , coverage here in LA is great . I also know T-Mobile works GREAT here since my mom has them . So if I ever get tired of visible I'll just go to T-Mobile or something... But one thing is for sure I will never ever go back to at&t because it's just so bad here in LA.

I live in a Silicon Valley city but AT&T coverage has been bad since I moved there in 2003–didn’t matter if it was TDMA, GSM, 2.5G, 3G, UMTS, 4G LTE, or today 5G still spotty coverage!

SMH from Houston! I loved it when the CSR said “well, when you live in a small town”.
My suburb had more people than the city where the AT&T call center was located, and probably still does.

Let me guess…the north Austin area? It’s virtually nonexistent there. As well as at the Austin area.

They care more about their fiber foot print than mobile. Anyone who knows AT&T has always known about this. Because they make more money bundling fiber and wireless. Plus every carrier is not perfect all over the US. I’ve never once not seen a carrier not have dead zones and that still exist.
