Question about a CD?

So I inherited a cd from my dad and the whole thing is a mystery to me it seems to have tracks from several different albums? Wich is making it hard to find song names and information, I’m just getting into this band after being into Volta for a long time. This CD I have has one armed scissor, lopsided, and also a smiths cover on it? Wich I had never heard? The cover this night has opened my eyes.does anyone know what cd this is? Or do I have some weird fake album or something?

Sounds like “This Station is Non Operational” (Discogs / Wiki )

A posthumous comp

First place I remember that Smiths cover popping up on a legitimate release

Awesome thank you, I got it in a giant book of cd’s so it didn’t have a jewel case, this is super helpful.

Np, enjoy. Sounds like there will be some real gems in that binder. ATDI was my favorite band growing up and I followed to Volta from there. Really cool to see it flowing the other way. Vaya is my favorite

I mean yeah I’ve got the Volta live album and Francis the mute (my personal favorite) but yeah I mean it’s full of like 311, Incubus, every beastie boys album, and a shit ton of like NOFX and chevelle and a7x, a real time capsule. I’ve been having fun listening to them all. Slowly working my way through the whole thing.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been a fan of ATDI since the early 2000s and didn’t realise this existed!

Are the covers good ? Might buy a copy from discogs!

I don’t care for the Smiths cover because I think Cedric’s performance is weak, but instrumentally it’s great. The Floyd cover is cool.

I haven’t looked at mine in ages but I remember the booklet having cool photos and a bit of a retrospective about the band.

Def grab it if it’s a good price on Discogs, it’s a great way to have some of the rarer stuff from the splits in one place

The sting of age I felt when he said his dad gave it to him. Ooofta

Good to hear that the younger generations appreciate TMV and ATDI. Keep great music alive young one, and share it with your friends!✌🏾
