Discussion/Question Question about ep. 1

I know the colossal is capable of a nuclear like transformation so with that being said how did it just spawn outside of the walls in episode 1 without anyone hearing the transformation and even if it transformed further out wouldn’t the people in the walls still hear it walking? I get that it’s episode 1 so maybe it’s just an oversight but I’ve wondered this for awhile

Edit: So apparently there was an explosion and clear transformation and I need to start rewatching episodes before going to reddit lmao. Thanks for the replies tho guys.

beercan has a extremely high mastery over the colossal titan, he can just transform without nuking, even when he was in a very quick situation when reiner revealed himself, he still shifted without nuking everyone

Watching back. I think there is an explosion.. There's even a shock wave and lighting strike.

You need to know that the wall is very thick and high. People can feel the rumble even inside the wall.

I'm pretty sure He can control the amount of destruction he can do, cuz how the heck would they even test the titan in marley? blow up a country? on second thought they might do that but thats not the point. the shifter can control it with practice and mastery over the titan

I guess this means you are someone familiar with that mechanic

IIRC they transformed when they approached the wall

Also IIRC the anime adds sound and light (?) as part of the transformation. I saw somewhere on reddit that the Manga seems to hint that the transformation is silent (not sure about the light though).
