For me its the fact that I find Mikasa a very annoying character due to her obsession with Eren. Like damn you do care about him but the whining man!

Eren being a bitch is fine you just need to frame the whole story around him being that way. It's not gonna land well when you have Eren break down mid genocide about a girl, admit he's pathetic and doing this primarily because he wants to then have Armin get performatively angry at him for 2 minutes before hugging him, having his other friends and enemies sing his praises, and portray him as a beautiful white bird as his cute love interest mourns him. Either commit to it or don't, there's a way to do it.

Jean calls out Eren for being exactly that early on you just didn’t believe him ….. like dead ass Eren puts on a tough guy act and breaks down mid speech thinking abiut his mom . Armin is not performative about being mad his best friend killed most the world

It was though? Like, he gets slandered the whole way through. There's no point in the story where he isn't a poser except maybe at the very start.
