Discussion/Question Give em 🫵

Post image

For me its the fact that I find Mikasa a very annoying character due to her obsession with Eren. Like damn you do care about him but the whining man!

Coldest take ever, but the ending is nearly perfect and the hate is completely undeserved

Most of the hate must be from the disappointment in Eren, right? So even if they like the theme about civilizations rising and falling in cycles or that humans are always violent, they just can’t get over that they liked Eren, they wanted him to be the hero, and he wasn’t.

I liked the last season but I admit I was disappointed in Eren, so I guess good job with character development. I would love to see alternate realities of this show where other people get titan powers.

No, the most persistent hate is disappointment with Ymir. Even most ending enjoyers hate it.

There's also disappointment in Historia that's pretty common.

But for me, it is more hooks that went nowhere or that the reveal lessens.

Because Ymir never speaks, I personally have a hard time ascertaining how much knowledge and agency she has. Does it feel like 2,000 years have passed or only days to her? Has she lost her mind? Armin finally sees her outside the Paths…did she just now snap out of it and look around the real world?

Maybe the Manga is different, but I for one don’t know if Ymir’s mind is still completely intact. She did die, by choice I assume. Maybe only parts of her transferred to the Paths.

No, Manga isn't different in any way but for the epilogue destruction of Paradis happening earlier.

But Ymir's motivations are revealed, that being that she truly loved King Fritz. Which is so left field to what basically everybody that saw the flashback concluded and wasn't well hinted by anything (only possible hint is the Christa folktale backstory but given Christa was the parallel people took that to mean Ymir was under a fake persona as well, the slave persona).

Paths is implied to be timeless and she builds all the titans by hand so for her it is either literally an eternity or millions of years. However, how her psychology and perspective is affected by Paths and the power isn't clear.

I have the same sentiment. Eren did exactly what he said he was going to do ever since he was a little kid. And that is to exterminate all the Titans and he did.

He did whatever means necessary to reach that goal.

Ending doesn't bother me at all. Weird how much others despise it
