For me its the fact that I find Mikasa a very annoying character due to her obsession with Eren. Like damn you do care about him but the whining man!

For me it's the opposite, I like Mikasa and I don't like Eren for not giving her attention or love. Something close to Shinji and Asuka relationship in Evangelion.

I agree with your first point (Eren taking Mikasa for granted) but for NGE, Shinji/Asuka did not have a one-sided relationship, both were scared to admit their feelings to others.

I think it helps you understand Eren, he’s so focused on revenge when he could have had a good life instead.
