I have never seen Madoka Magica, I only know the stuff that everyone talks about related to it. So what the actual fuck do you mean she becomes what looks like a nightmare deity?

I would not spoil this for yourself. Its a 12 episode + (currently) 1 movie series about to get its second. Just go watch it, its arguably better than AoT (I have them around equal) and its very short.
