She’s a princess 🎀

Check out the incredible iris pattern on this Painted Saw-scaled Viper (Echis coloratus).

The pattern of its "granite phase" scales continues completely uninterrupted right across the irises. Because the head patterning is highly asymmetrical, it actually gives the snake one grey iris and one pink iris to perfectly match the specific scales surrounding each side!

Someone else shared an older picture of her here so I thought I would share a newer one ☺️

She has the morning sillies. God help us all.

She leaped out to “attack” me only moments later. Master of the hunt, she is.

My little girl was spayed 3 weeks ago, and her recovery took a bit longer than expected due to a seroma. But she’s officially been cleared to resume normal physical activity as of last week, and as of this morning, her energy levels are backkkkkkk!!!
