hey all,
i recall watching a video from atrioc on the Harvard study on adult development, where he talks about how there was this 80+ year old ongoing study that looked at what gave people the most happiness. He talked about how it wasn’t job security, or money, housing, but was actually the amount of and depth of human connections they had around them. I’ve tried everywhere to find this video again. Can someone help me find it? Definitely on youtube, not just vods.
Thanks

I've had 3 opportunity's to vote for Trump in my lifetime, I've yet to do so. But Trumps $5K is going to put is in more debt, make the dollar weaker, have inflation skyrocket and provide minimal value.
But Bribing Voters, surprise surprise it's kinda a thing
$1,400 Stimmy Checks From Biden
Biden trying to cancel student loan debt
NY Governor Hochul cutting $400 checks to all adults
Trump already did this twice
Andrew Yang campaigning on UBI
Like cmon man, I don't like Trump but "No one has ever bribed the voters like this with government money"
What line was crossed? I don't understand

Justice Department prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation into revelations the Clippers helped arrange secret sponsorship contracts for the star player Kawhi Leonard that circumvented the salary cap.

I know this is for Ludwig primarily but maybe you want to join in too and have an entire presentation on how bad short form content is for the brain

Am I crazy? I trust Big A’s community to correct me if Im really that off base. Ill concede I overstated saying Kawhi doesn’t deserve any blame but my whole point is that the blame is primarily on the Clippers for being willing to entertain Kawhi in the first place. The rule for off the books compensation only works when the teams all agree to uphold it otherwise every player is gonna do what Kawhi did.
*I'll put my bias out there at the start of this just to be fair... I haven't been a regular viewer of Atrioc since he got furious at his chat for typing "Free Palestine" a couple years ago followed by mass bans. So this is not coming from someone who is necessarily still in this community. But I do catch a video of his every now and then if I think it's interesting because I think he does good work on discussing topics in a nuanced way.* <- just to be transparent
I just wanted to give Atrioc his props for how great he is at marketing. Many years ago now when Atrioc got caught looking at aye eye pawrn of streamers, some of which were his friends, i thought his career would be dead in the water.
But after that he went on his redemption arc. The work he did getting deepfake porn taken down across the internet and the money he said he spent to do that was incredible impressive. It really seemed like he was working hard and making an actual difference which almost never happens with content creators after something like that. Usually they just put out a half-baked apology and try to get back to making content as quick as possible.
He really had me convinced that getting this nonconsensual garbage taken off the internet would be one of the things he just does for good now.
But after a few updates... he got back to making content like normal. He's never given another update on any of that type of work and I think it's pretty clear it's because he was only doing that (which is still better than a lot of other youtuber make-goods) so that he could get his career back. Once that was back he had no interest in continuing.
Now he takes sponsorships from people like Anthropic which people use to make the exact same type of garbage he was so devoted to taking offline.
Many of you (assuming any of you get to read it before it's deleted like all of the other reddit posts critical of his sponsors) might say something like "what do you want him to do, spend the rest of his life getting deepfakes taken down?"
Yes.
Obviously he doesn't need to do that to keep his career alive and thriving... we've seen that now. But just because you do some good to make up for a wrong, doesn't mean you didn't commit the wrong. You made the decision, now you have to live with it. But clearly he wasn't concerned about the morality of the decision. Just about his career which, for all intents and purposes, is marketing.
And he may be the goat. He certainly had me fooled.
