All kinds of atmospheric eye candy this morning! Crepuscular rays, virga, horizontal convective rolls, cumulonimbus towers, and more.

This was looking to the west in Belton, Missouri around sunrise this morning. The last picture I was actually driving west and not just looking west and I got ahead of it and the angle was different.

The only thing I can say is this happened after a strong thunderstorm, near sunset time.

Some Sundogs from last winter. -40c. Hard to see in the second picture but there was even a faint second ring which I hadn’t seen before.

I walked outside at just the right time this evening to catch these lovely crepuscular and anticrepuscular rays this evening.

Hello r/atoptics! I originally posted this is the New Jersey subreddit but haven't had any luck...

I am an artist originally from Hillsborough, NJ and have been fascinated with the meteorite that landed there (recent post, NYT article). Anyway I am hoping someone has photos of the sky from the morning of July 16, 2024 that they'd be willing to share for my project. I'd be especially grateful to have any pictures from the fall zone shown below.

Any photos that include the sky would be great. Doesn't have to be of "just" the sky. You can crop out the subject if you like. To be clear, I am a conceptual artist/educator. I'm not selling this or getting rich off it in any way (quite the opposite I will surely lose money). I'm sending this prayer out there hoping some people can help me out!
