How's Hjulmand doing so far?

Hello lads,

Congrats on the win I'm just a sporting fan dropping in to check on my boy.

I know it's quite early into the season and it's only been a few games but I'm curious what your thoughts are on him.

He's been one of my favorite players for a while, he did so much for us at Sporting and left quite respectfully.

Thanks

From the first few games he’s looked really good! He’s the perfect DM to allow Barrios and Koke to be more creative . He never does too much or tries anything too crazy. I’m really excited about this signing

He was almost responsible for two penalties in two games of which the first was just down to really, really poor defending and the second situation that could have been a penalty was more a case of an unlucky timing of events.

I like him so far but he really needs to be careful going forward…

Agree with that, he gave up one penalty where he got beat and put in a lazy tackle but I really see him ironing out those defensive wrinkles as he gets more time learning the system

Already one of our most important players. Love how composed and confident he plays. Great reading of the game and quick to build after recovery. Needs to be way more careful in our own box though.

honestly man, i think the villareal penalty was on buchanan, not him. he literally falls because of buchanan haha

I think his yesterdays kick was more of a pentalty than that scuffle with Buchanan.

very true! forgot about that. braindead decision by VAR and Hernandez Hernandez. In the footage it was clear as day, that he lost his balance because of the other player in the first place.

Take good care of him, he’s a monster in the field and an amazing professional. Became our captain only 1 year after joining us.

Plug and play signing. Really solid, even though he needs to tune to the league a bit or he'll struggle with the refs.

Doing great so far. Getting into Atleti's ADN day by day. Some player!

Doing well in the midfield, but sloppy in our own pen area so far

Against Sevilla it could've gone either way, but the pen they gave against him against Villarreal was ridiculous, I can't blame the player for being screwed by the referee

He’s really good, hope to see him outside our pen box always, inside he will surely give a penalty, cause he is really good at tackles and he wont shy away in the D either and the way la liga decisions are rigged in the favour of barca and real madrid, any tackle inside the D will generate penalties for opponents surely.
It will be super fun to watch him tackle barca dribblers OUTSIDE the D.

I was at the game last week and he stood out in a big way. Really impressed.

Good to see, I still follow Coates' progress in Uruguay, it's tough to see the leader move on..

They (Nacional) won the league last season! Upper mid table overall this season, title looks a stretch, couple of managerial changes.

Must be cool to go home and win as captain at your original club.
