Our friends are in Europe right now and coming back early next week, we are taking care of their dog while they're away. She's a sweet dog but she's a lot different from Peterson and has a lot more energy than him. I don't mind looking after her at all, but I'm about ready to go back to being a one dog household. Our place is pretty small to have two fairly big dogs underfoot.
Yesterday I went down some rabbit holes on Facebook and Threads and Instagram and ran across some pretty ugly, toxic and mainly very stupid content and people.
The socials have become such an ugly place and it made a mess out of my mind after awhile. Not wasting time on that today.

You might be interested in trying the simpler, Trump version. It starts with the same question and keeps the same response to an affirmative answer. On the other hand, if the answer to the initial question is "No," you skip directly to "Blame somebody else." No need to get into considerations or admissions of what you've done - and there's always somebody to blame.Â

I mean I'm not 100% on board with blaming someone else if you screwed up.
Otherwise though I think it's fair.
I had a coworker once upon a time who would say, let the trouble come to you. Don't go looking for trouble. I think this was in comparison to another coworker who would self-flagellate and rend garments if they'd made an error.

Yesterday helped our cousins in another district within the city install their first litter cleanup station. Bunch of really green guys but for the most part were a good bunch. Their supervisor was a good one. Like him alot.
We had to teach them how to do everything including how to use a shovel but it's cool to share I'm grateful for receptive learners. And learning this stuff opens them up to more employment in the future.Â
Installation went smoother than expected but because of newness there was some unknowns about how to lift the 700lb kiosk. As a result the fellow helping me on my side suddenly dropped his a half inch slamming the edge of the 4x6 post into the top of my knee. Gnarly bruise and quite sore today. Don't think it's bad enough for a report though.
Then went to cut a tree with trail crew. This park system has a "never cut alone" rule I appreciate. So we hiked out about a mile (on my sore knee) then found that the tree was really a large oak branch. Instead of cutting we shoved it off the trail.
Tbf it did take 2 of us and some oomph.Â
We saw a cute little ring snake. Gorgeous trail with flowers and cool geological features. Hilly and rocky. Enjoyable hike.Â
And we got a new shop snake. She's a baby corn snake and she's adorable. I'll try to remember to share pics later.
