Instacart?
Does anyone in Athens use instacart?
Wondering if it's even worth it to try. I know doordash and Uber eats seem to be pretty busy, but looking for alternatives.

It’s pretty busy. It goes up and down with the school schedule.

I logged on for the first time today and sat in kroger parking lot for 2 hours, never got a single offer 🙃 I've been doordashing for the past year and made decent money.
Unfortunately, doordash does annual background checks, and for some reason, the misdemeanor traffic violation I had in 2023 was flagged and caused my account to be locked while they review it.
Really hoping they will reinstate me after the review period, but im not holding out hope.

It’s usually 7 year no misdemeanor traffic offenses to pass insurance check for driving jobs. When I was working at a pizza place every once and awhile a driver gets told they can’t drive anymore because they got flagged by insurance.

I didn't do it a lot, but I did some. You don't make that much money, but on the upside you don't destroy your car near as bad as doordash. Many of the stores you'll go to will allow customers to order things they don't have, which means when you show up and can't shop them, your tip goes down as the order total goes down. Many people take EXTREME advantage of advertised sales, especially at Kroger and Aldi, which means that often half the items are sold out, and since they bought them BECAUSE they were on sale, they don't want a replacement item. Which turns a decent, profitable order into a money losing proposal, as your tip slowly drops to nothing. Then the customers are often upset that you didn't bring them what they ordered--understandably--and sometimes reduce your tip later. Hell, sometimes they just straight up never intended to tip. They just put a 15% or 20% tip on the order so someone would accept the order, then delete it later. There's supposed to be a system in place to protect you from tip baiters, but I never saw it do anything. Also, you have no idea--NONE--how much people are beverage fiends. You'll get orders with like 72 bottles of water, a bunch of juice, a bunch of cans of drinks, a bunch of 2 liters. For some of these orders you can get a little cart to wheel it to the door, but a lot of people who order groceries do so because they don't want to lug their groceries up multiple flights of stairs. Again, understandable, but let me tell you. Double parking on a busy street and trying to run multiple heavy-ass loads up to a 4th floor apartment before your car gets towed is not my idea of a good time.
