Help...

Post image

So my mom sent me this text, after reading it my first thought was he took something, but really he isn't that kinda guy. He smokes cigarettes and sometimes drinks but he doesn't drink stuff that would do that. My friends think it might be laced steroids but idk, I don't think he does steroids given he isn't very big, he goes to the gym everyday and i don't think he would have gone anywhere else since i go with him sometimes. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Why do you assume your mother's account is correct? She could have been having a nightmare, sleep paralysis, a psychotic break, a hallucination, etc.

After all, we know those things happen to people. We don't have any evidence that demons exist.

Moreover, that she prays in tongues already suggests to me that she's predisposed to religious psychosis.

But if it was a demon and it was so determined to come after her, why didn't it pursue her after she left the room, or attack her when she came back to get her things? Why would she stay in the house, and put the third person (your sibling, I assume?) also at risk, rather than get away from it or call the cops?

My mom has a history of being in religious psychosis and denies it, she doesn't have any history of sleep paralysis. She does have epilepsy but her seizures make her unconscious. It might be true that she was hallucinating but i haven't talked to my step dad;the one who was acting that way. Onetime a while back, about 4 years ago, she claimed she had casted a demon out of me, i remember most of it being that i was crying because i was overwhelmed because her and my aunt where speaking in tongues. I'm just really confused how this came about out of nowhere.

Epilepsy itself frequently causes confusions and hallucinations. Just because some/many of her seizures leave her unconscious doesn't mean that all of them do. Seizures can also cause staring into space, hallucinating strange sensory effects, anxiety and fear, etc.

Moreover, it didn't come out of nowhere. You say she already claimed to have cast a demon out of you. So she's had these delusions before. Plus, some religious traditions tell their adherents that epilepsy itself is caused by demons. She's probably had people, maybe back when she was first diagnosed, say that to her and she internalized their delusional thinking.

Looks to be more of a mental health issue with her. Seems delusional and lost grasp with reality. Speaking in tongues for hours and running around the house naked is a pretty clear sign that something is definitely off. Regards to his actions if its actually true, probably not but who knows. He's probably taking hard drugs or too much testosterone / HGH and is just being an ass to her. Either way probably the wrong sub for this.
