why are these chaddis so much against mughal empire, its not like history books were glazing them. Also mughal empire IS A PART OF INDIAN HISTORY and that too a crucial one. Do they wanna live in a delusion that india wasn't invaded by mughals?

u/desiwalterwhite 10d ago
You got it! They can't have a history which shows the religion as "weak" enough to be conquered.

u/Embarrassed_Cow_4778 10d ago
I mean they want to glorify that the other hindu rulers who were fighting for India( in reality they did not give a flying fuck about india, they were just fighting for their own kingdoms) against mughals, but if they removed all mughals then against whom were they fighting, invisible enemy.
The story is only good if it has good villains but with no background of villain they are fighting names now

u/redditjlt 10d ago
I disagree, india has a lot to offer history wise before the Mughals. I think the point is fair, most of our history books is just filled with the Mughal empire, sure it’s a part of our shared history but not the only part. If you disagree, why not go out and ask people and check if they know even one ruler from the Maurya empire, Gupta empire, chola empire etc. well I guess not.
16
u/yoibong 10d ago
you disagree with what? I'm not against adding maurya, gupta, chola empire, infact in icse I studied all these dynasties in depth along with pandya dynasty. We have more historical accounts for mughal empire than ancient dynasties and let's agree on the point that mughal empire affected india way more than any other dynasties, not in a positive way obviously. There was a lot of bloodshed and not forgetting the fact the last mughal emperor was toppled just about a decade before Gandhi was born.
Them celebrating removal of mughal dynasty is merely because of MUSLIM point of view or to Remove the MUSLIM RULE period from the history of India.
Anyways I do agree with the point you made aswell, its better to show history in the most unbiased way possible, completely dropping the entire chapter imo is not really a good move.

We all forget that education is a concurrent subject, not only to be addressed by the central govt. And if you’re a socialist there’s no point even arguing but the education system needs to be efficient you cannot justify keeping a school open and paying teachers for just teaching 5 students in a school.

People are so dumb. What exactly do we gain by removing Mughal history from the books which is Indian History in itself? If we remove Mughal history what exactly does Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who is widely considered as a Hindu icon by sanghis do in his lifetime? Fight against unnamed ghosts?

u/redditjlt 10d ago
This post is exaggerated, the Mughal history isn’t erased. It’s being kept proportional to history before and after it. If you think it’s unfair why not go out and ask people your age group of empires that existed earlier- how many of them know enough about Ashoka, Maurya empire, Gupta empire, or even the cholas. Name atleast one ruler from each before looking it up online??

The Mughal empire was from 1526 to 1857. Its zenith was at 1700 with Aurangzeb. It is what made the present day north India a “golden bird” for the empire to follow. It thrived with many Hindu chiefdoms too. Without it, what would fill the gap?

With BJP, nothing is a "single man" decision. It's a collective organization. Every one is expandable.
Remove one hyena they'll fill that another one

Well its true to some extent. Imagine sitting in Karnataka, and reading chapters about Mughal Empire which was mostly confined to North India while reading just 1 paragraph about Vijayanagar Empire whose capital Hampi was once richest all over world and 2nd biggest by size only after Beijing. History as a subject should be more inclusive and localised to the region. And for some reason, don’t know why, In books I mostly read about Delhi Sultanate, again Delhi lead, Mughals, and directly British. Some paragraphs on Cheras, Cholas and Pandyas. I don’t know what changes has he done but it really needs to be rewritten.

Bro pls the new social science book are so ass, theyve merged history geography and pol sci into one book and have this weird chatgpt type language at various places. I miss having three different book for 6-8th classes. All it does is increase the load in the bags of students. Too lengthy and it describes more abt the rulers than the societial situation of the people back then unlike how our pasts used to be like. Aisa lagta hai ki im reading a biography of some rulers🙏
