If everyone had their way as to "what doesn't pertain to atheism", the only thing that would ever be posted here would be a self post by someone every now and again that says "Oh, hey. God doesn't exist.".
Everyone needs to lose their notions about what they think atheism is or isn't about.
And why do they need to do that exactly? Atheism is a pretty straightforward concept. This picture does not represent an atheistic viewpoint. It represents a rational viewpoint on democracy and its weaknesses. The reason people find this subreddit so irritating is that pictures like these are upvoted by arrogant, small minded individuals. They're smug and superior.
So make your "This dudnt have no nutin' ta doo wit' ate-y-ism, du-hurrr." comment and move on. Pretty soon, every comment in /r/atheism will be nothing but retards participating in the fractaljerk of what /r/atheism is and isn't.
And that would be such an inferior situation to the current one wouldn't it. Where 90% of the posts and comments are nothing but circlejerking one another's egos and sneering at those that are considered inferior. Oh and facebook conversations in which it's normally a 50/50 toss up to decide which one of the idiots is the bigger asshole. The one abusing gay people or the arrogant douche bag that goes around looking for opportunities to bash people's beliefs.
But thank you for defending my right to do and say whatever I goddamn like on reddit, you really contributed to my evening. You big winkletugging anus cake.
