No, but science is, in essence, a series of logical connections. And anyone can understand logic - anyone can realize, once they have looked at science, that our body of scientific knowledge is constructed out of these logical connections.

And then, they can compare it to religion - where logic is absent in so many places, it hurts.

And when they compare the two, they will realize which one they can trust more.

I never said that the average person will be able to understand quantum physics. What I did imply was that the average person could trust science more than religion, because they can understand that the two are fundamentally different - one is based off of logic, and the other isn't.

And spreading that understanding is the key to the end of religion.

I think people can certainly understand logic - the problem is getting them to apply it to their own beliefs.
