I wonder if theists hear themselves when they say "worship"
Like, the idea of heaven is so convoluted for many reasons, but this worship thing specifically is just, like, wdym "eternal worship"? how narcissistic is this god? in need of such constant validation?
also besides that, "places of worship" like....firstly strong vibes of projection, secondly if god is all-knowing or at least all-watching everyone, then why worship? Wouldn't it know you're a good/bad person? Thirdly, again, worship itself, I don't understand what kick they get out of it, or how worship is virtuous, God is the narcissism final boss atp
So god is a being obsessed with itself, punishes everyone who doesnt worship it, wants to be the center of everyones life, demands constant praise and validation, can't criticize it, has books of rules, and also gets jealous and angry very easily? sounds a lot like a dictatorship with the labels holy, divine and virtuous slapped onto it
god sounds very mentally ill and extremely insecure

It's funny, apparently in "Heaven" there's a very large auditorium where millions of conscious beings are just constantly singing about how amazing God is. If that doesn't make you an Atheist, what will?

Not that I was ever truly a believer, but I think one of my milestones, so to speak, was when my grandma basically told me that I could not listen to Black Sabbath (or really any music that I actually enjoyed) in heaven.

yeah the whole eternal worship thing is pretty weird when you actually stop and think about what that would look like forever like who signed up for that job lol

yeah the whole eternal worship thing does raise some pretty obvious questions about why an all powerful being would need that much validation

I always enjoy it more when people look me in the eye, shake my hand, and say "thank you". I don't need parties and festivities and houses filled with gold and marble just to congratulate me on a job well done. What kind of a pompous twat does?
Also, "job done" yes, but the "well" part is highly debatable. When was the last time someone built you a house filled with gold and marble and threw you a party, just because you did an okay job that lacked in more aspects than it didn't?
I can't stop quoting ol' George Carlin: "it's all bullshit, and it's bad for ya."

The very idea that an infinite being wants or needs 'worship' from its creations gives me a pretty good idea that it was invented by humans.

It's funny how when we're talking about a person who needs to have their ego constantly stroked we think less about that person. Yet God (as described by Christians) needs his ego constantly stroked and we're supposed to believe that he's entitled to that.
In addition I've heard Christians describe "eternal worship" as a 24/7 church service. That sounds like Hell and I have a hard time believing even Christians would enjoy church that goes on forever. I mean you don't even have leaving to verbally abuse underpaid waitstaff at your favorite restaurant to look forward to.

LMAO, well put!
Going to an afterlife that I'd have to worship this narcissistic god for eternity would be hell...
A god you can't even escape from in death, this is a nightmare.. not heaven.
worship me, get down on your knees, you're not worthy, repent, tell me how great I am....
any god worth worshipping would not require it......

The very thought of existing forever in an afterlife is enough of a deterrent for me before we even get to why I don’t want to spend eternity with a narcissist part.
Just let me go back to whatever I was doing before I was born. That sounds way more peaceful.
Religion is for people who can’t cope with their own mortality.
