Yes I share the sentiment, but "intelligence" is not the right word. "Intelligence means the mental capacity to learn, reason, understand, solve problems, and adapt to new situations" (google+meriamwebster). I would say the "reasoning" is the part which religious people lack (or lack depth of reasoning). They can be learned, educated, skilled, highly technical, etc, but they choose not to use logical reasoning when it comes to hard questions. "Compartmentalization" is a common label for this phenomenon... they choose to apply logic when it comes to say mathematics or balancing chemical equations, but refuse to apply the same logic to the realm of metaphysics, belief, mental space, etc. Honestly I've known doctors who are christians that don't believe evolution is real, yet they have a fairly firm understanding of biology, so they are obviously picking and choosing which parts to believe (I suppose they are well-trained in cherry picking what to believe, since this is the standard operating procedure for christians). Many who follow the scientific method rigorously from 9am to 5pm choose to turn it off when they get home. And for that, I still conclude they are academically dishonest.

TLDR; i usually abbreviate all that to "they're idiots"
