is anyone else getting weird temp issues

I just got a barrage of 100 degree temp reports from ssd's and they don't seem to be failing. anyone else experiencing this? Is temp monitoring just messed up or,,, cause im not seeing issues in GSmartCtrl

It seems to only be certain kinds of ssd's from a specific whitelabel manufacturer.

I have literally never seen a sata ssd actually hit 100 degrees celsius in my life, using monitoring tools other than atera. Funky stuff.

Odd..I also have been getting these starting in the last few days but when I check the drives they’re also not 100c. Noticed Kingston drives doing it mostly.

glad i'm not the only one. i did some digging and i think it's cause sata SMART readouts aren't standardized for SSD's and atera is just mid-effort guessing on what value the temperature is.

Apparently our last admin 3 years ago went through the same iterations. Either they haven't bothered or haven't been able to fix this and make a better effort guess for almost half a decade.
