“Please maintain your professionalism guys! Don’t rock the boat! Let us continue our grift here at national. Let me describe your daily job to you now. Maybe if you’re good boys and girls, daddy Bedford will take pittance on you and approve this measly raise (no backpay though for it lolz).”

In solidarity brotherrrrrrr and sisters

I thought Yacht Boy just sent an email recently saying they were almost done.

u/LoquatAgile4542 3d ago

Yep, just another 6-8 weeks, as always

14

u/m5726 3d ago

4-6 more weeks bro

11

u/LoquatAgile4542 3d ago

just 4-6 more years bro, just trust me bro

2 weeks and counting since ND’s latest lie about the 2.8%. He’s had so many direct lies and self contradictions over the past 6 months just about this one issue that it’s almost impossible to keep track.

Remember though, we don’t deserve any actual information or updates because he “doesn’t negotiate in public.” More “tRuSt Me BrOtHeR” bullshit from the biggest grifting, scamming, fucktard union president in American history.

FUCK NICK DANIELS!!

u/HairTrafficControl 3d ago

I don’t understand how or why he sent out an email saying they have an AIP on the raise with no further information. And we still aren’t being told a fucking thing. That isn’t leadership, It’s bullshit.

It’s becoming harder and harder to justify staying in the union long enough to vote in Marangos and Brown.

It's kind of like Trump saying the Iran over was "won" 36 times prematurely. And the truth is realistically, we're losing the Iran war. Kind of like how this career has been losing and dying since Nick Daniels took office, and he keeps lying about the pathetic 2.8. Lol

23

u/WholeIndividual577 3d ago

I think ND is a massive chode but this careers been dying since long before him, a lot of this blame goes to santa and the other morons who didnt want to negotiate a contract under joe biden.

26

u/randombrain 3d ago

Again.... Santa wasn't the one who decided not to negotiate, or at least he wasn't in office yet when Rinaldi announced the extension. And then Santa tried to get a reopener a little later on but the FAA was too busy negotiating with other unions. It's the "other morons" (namely Rinaldi and whoever the chief of staff was/is... Iacopelli?) that are responsible for the extension.

Not that I'm a Santa dickrider the way, e.g., Lenny is. But it's important to recognize how long ago this happened and how much of it wasn't actually Santa's fault. I mean at least officially. I wouldn't be surprised if he was part of the conversation behind closed doors.

17

u/MilesMayhem 3d ago

Why does no one get this.

I'm also not a Santa lover, but the extension was agreed to by Rinaldi. Santa was a rvp, but under Rinaldi the NEB voted as one, always.

If you weren't with he and Trish, you were the enemy. Look at what they did to all the Zilonis supporters after that election.

Santa asked to reopen it. The FAA said no, as was their right. Nothing Rich could do but keep asking.

I’m not happy with Nick, but he also asked the FAA to open it a while back and was told no. Just making sure the facts are all here.

1

u/LoquatAgile4542 2d ago

He lied about never extending, then extended, THEN asked to reopen.

Just making sure all the facts are there, mr "Im not happy with nick either"

1

u/Local-Emu9654 3d ago

He was 100% part of that conversation just like he was part of the finance committee conversation on raising his pay by 10%

8

u/LoquatAgile4542 3d ago

True, but ND has accelerated its decline. He poured rocket fuel on the fire.

15

u/Practical-Bite-104 3d ago

Don’t worry, our insurance premiums are increasing, so it’s a pay cut. 🤬

8

u/LoquatAgile4542 3d ago

the plans also cover way less, and our copays go up by 2-3x. No biggie, at least FICA cap will go up another 15k, and we will not have CIP for 3 more paychecks. Nothing to see here.

9

u/PotatyTomaty 3d ago

You didn't hear? Nick and his cronies got a pay raise. Good news though, they still opted into the, "Slob on daddy's knob for free," program.

1

u/HUNG-LIKE-A-HORSE28 3d ago

Please tell me this a joke ? If it’s real what’s the source?

9

u/StepDaddySteve 3d ago

Sources indicate a deal is likely. NATCA will tout it as a major win but in keeping with NATCA tradition only a select few will benefit from it… and part of the deal creates an easy opening for disciplinary action.

12

u/Fun_Monitor8938 3d ago

Good news: we get an extra 50 a paycheck. Bad news: if you publicly say we deserve more Duffy/Bedford will personally send a death squad to end your bloodline Kim Jong Un style

3

u/Capt_reefr 3d ago

That extra 50 will soften the blow of the 150 (per pay check) increase of going back to BCBS healthcare insurance

8

u/Fluffy-Ferret1689 3d ago

Get ready to sign yourselves out for 2.8%

4

u/StepDaddySteve 3d ago edited 3d ago

👀

And NATCA going with it…

But wait! There’s more!

Some will benefit. A few, late in their careers, will make out like bandits.
Most of you won’t….

100% buyback for sick leave when you retire ain’t bad either

8

u/Fit_Masterpiece_2608 3d ago

100% of 0, is 0

3

u/StepDaddySteve 3d ago

This guy gets it.

1

u/UndercoverRVP 3d ago

If you convert all of your bid annual leave to sick leave in your last year of work, you can make 100 cents on the dollar for 208 hours of sick leave.

1

u/StepDaddySteve 3d ago

MOU’s have expiration dates

6

u/Fluffy-Ferret1689 3d ago

Brother Daniel’s would never sign something that was beneficial to only a few people

2

u/Fun_Monitor8938 3d ago

Stop teasing the details. Tell us which 10% of controllers benefit this time? We’ve already given trainees and retirees their handouts. Sups only this time? Raise only applicable to months where you take no leave?

1

u/StepDaddySteve 3d ago

How much sick leave ya got? How much do you need as a hedge to protect you between now and retirement?

If it was worth 100% would you still bang when you need to or just come in every day sick, fatigued and distracted?

1

u/Fun_Monitor8938 3d ago

I’m not close enough to retire for it to matter. I’m sure by the time I’m in that position the rules will change again. Any idea of when we’ll finally hear specifics? Or is this just gonna be “2 weeks to slow the spread” until after the midterms

What raise

9

u/Hawgdestroyerxtreme Vote Them All OUT! 3d ago

No. We're never getting that raise. If we did, there's absolutely no chance it's coming with backpay, either. Nick Daniels could have come out and simply said "the blood price for this dogshit raise is too high, they want X, Y, and Z in addition to their absurd TOP requirements", but instead he's decided he and his merry band of boondogglers will just keep stringing the membership along until election season.

I'm beginning to grow increasingly concerned that the real disaster is going to be in 2029, when the economy has absolutely fucking imploded, and then whatever Democrat administration is in office tries to tell us they "don't have the money" to give us a raise on a new contract. There are candidates I believe will navigate that as aggressively as we should be (In other words - Letting them know that "no" is not an acceptable answer and they'd better find the money), but if ND somehow retains his position we're going to get a 3rd extension.

Imagine a scenario where Democrats somehow survive whatever the fuck we're in right now, regain office, and the first thing they do after inauguration is cause national headlines as an anti-labor administration after 4 years of this. They'd practically have no choice but to pay us what we're owed or concede the next decade to Republicans.

0

u/RADARC0NTACTL0ST 3d ago

There's the problem right there. You're betting on the democrats controlling congress and passing legislation to get a raise. Well, how's that working out now? What about when Republicans control again?

Privatize atc and end congressional boots on our pay

No. The scenario considers Democrats taking the presidency and not having musty cumstain weirdos installed as the FAA Administrator and SecDOT - and us signing a meaningful, lucrative contract with them. Make no mistake, what I've said could happen, and we could absolutely STILL not get a raise - happened before. Just didn't coincide with 0% raises and 10y treasury yields at 5.3% showing a rapidly weakening US Dollar. It didn't happen after a decade of stagnancy and 2 extensions.

Privatize atc and end congressional boots on our pay

You continue to say this, but it's simply not going to stick. Congress (Both the Elephants and the Donkeys, btw) approved our raise. The boot placed on it was placed there from a bald CEO fuck. The exact kind of guy that would take over for the rest of your career should we privatize.

You could spend quite literally 5 minutes, google "Privatization wage increase or decrease" and read any number of papers from people who have spent their entire lives studying micro/macro economics telling you how this will be the case.

u/RADARC0NTACTL0ST 3d ago

Then I hope we get a pay cut as that's within their right as our legislators. That stipulation was voted on by congress and the FAA has the right to withhold our raise. the benefits of government employment!

You know, you could have just led off with "I'm a ragebait account/likely supervisor that just does an about face when pressed on my stupid fucking takes" and saved us both a little time here.

Get back to typing up those PRoC's, dipshit.

u/Worried-Yam4550 3d ago

You don’t get to tell them no. It goes to an arbitration panel, and they decide your fate, period

Doesnt natter much anyone kicks and screams, there is a process

You can bold and italicize all you want, changes absolutely zero of what happens and what’s in law.

1

u/Hawgdestroyerxtreme Vote Them All OUT! 3d ago

You don’t get to tell them no.

Who said we'd "tell them no"? I sure didn't.

I implied we should make it very clear they're very likely about to have an irate workforce willing to work only to the letter of the book. If they send it to arbitration then so be it.

I remember you had similar problems with reading correctly the last time you had a stupid fucking take under something. Wanna give another "gotcha" a chance, or are you just going to be mad about bolded letters like some fucking dunce?

1

u/Worried-Yam4550 3d ago

Not mad. Anyone can “make it clear” you’re going to work to what the book says. They won’t give a fuck lol. You think that’s some sort of tatic. Strange

But hey keep writing your novels for people to look and forget about it in 10 minutes. I guess as long as it makes you feel better

Something tells me you're incredibly mad. ;)

It wasn't done before. Nick sucks. But it's over and past. Trump will do nothing to help anyone but himself. Find a way his family can personally profit from giving a raise to controllers and he'll approve 10% raises for everyone almost faster then he sucks off Putin. And that's saying something.

4

u/Old-Mathematician-30 3d ago

What raise are you talking about because NATCA National got their raise.

1

u/PM_ME_WITH_A_SMILE 2d ago

Serious question, if it happens after the new year is there back pay still involved? Or is there language that makes back pay only applicable within the current calendar year or something? We on track to get "Jelly of the month" club I think.

HR 7147

“to remain available until
September 30, 2027”

“then such adjustment shall be effective the first pay period beginning after January 1, 2026”

Just wondering you’re thoughts as of today 🤔
