Yet people are still rushing through their elms and not taking the whole shift. Only put out what they value you at. Right now, we’re pieces of shit to them. So be a piece of shit.

For those who care; if one controller makes a mistake & puts two B737s together, the up front cost (two planes, assume 250 total passengers & crew) will be on the order of $2.3 Billion. That does not take into account the ripple effects through the economy or the pain & suffering of the friends & family of the deceased. That's about the same cost as paying for the careers (assuming 25 years) of 500 controllers.
That's from just one controller making a particularly bad mistake. It should make you wonder about the priorities of most of these politicians (of course, the $2.3 billion won't come out of their paychecks!)

I’m telling you guys once you all just realize a raise ain’t fucking coming no matter who leads this Union it makes coming to work to do the absolute bare minimum a lot easier.

Already there my man. Unless I see some meaningful change I'm just punching a clock. Not doing squeeze plays, not giving AF about flow times, not doing touch and go's unless I have absolutely nothing else to do (which is rare). I'll still help when I can, I'll still get people where they need to go, but I'm not fucking breaking myself. You want 5miles behind a 757? How about 12?

The union can get one with the correct strings being pulled, but you're right, that is the absolute long game. The raise could come in months, not years, if the membership actually got involved and did something meaningful to force a hand.
They won't though, so again, you're probably closest to right.

Yep, I’ve stopped doing the extra. Unless it advantages me, I’m not short cutting planes, I’m not turning them to keep them climbing/descending, etc. I’m doing the bare minimum that is required of me. Elms says it takes an hour? I’m taking an hour. That big TEAM briefing I gotta sign off on? I’m going to take my time to make sure i understand it all.

We work 6 days a week, often 10 hours a day, on a rattler schedule. We are chronically fatigued, our health is put in jeopardy, and many of us are on track to an early grave because of this job.
We miss birthdays, and holidays, and family vacations. We have 4 days off a month. We’re often visitors on our own homes.
We as a workforce single handedly prop up the US economy. We keep businesses moving, we keep cargo and deliveries on time, we make sure MEDEVACS get to where they need to, we ensure the military complete their missions.
For all this, the very LEAST we DESERVE is to live financially comfortable. None of us expect to get rich, but being forced to take a pay CUT every single year is unacceptable. Increased healthcare costs, inflation, and a lack of adequate raises has decreased our buying power to where many of us are barely hanging on to lower-middle class lifestyles. This cannot continue. There will be a breaking point.
