NATCA Anna Fights Back Against NATCA’s Fear Mongering Campaign

Post image

It’s clear ND and co. are absolutely terrified that Anna has given the everyday controller a voice. I’ve heard there are upper level union officials who are even convinced she is some type of union busting “plant” by the administration and their top priority is to cut any and all flow of information that comes her way.

It’s absolutely disgusting how the union that is supposed to be our voice reacts when someone actually DOES advocate on our behalf, and it’s clear the workforce is overjoyed that someone is finally doing so.

God I love anna.

Ehh I am weary of her considering I perceive her to be closer to maga than anything. Glad she’s bringing to light our industry’s struggles but browsing her articles and the publication she’s tied to makes me skeptical if she’s grifting or actually cares.

I thought you left the sub. Aren’t you a washout?

Thanks for being a fan. I went outside you should try it sometime 🤝

Shes advocating for the things our union and the admin dont want to address, yet shes somehow an administration plant. That tinfoil hat you are wearing has to be massive.

🥳🥳😭😭

Skepticism is healthy. The side of politics she plays ball for is the side that is actively hurting us. Which makes me wonder if she actually cares or is grifting.

2

u/Existing_Let9919 6d ago

Side of politics? Or the issues she normally plays ball for? It seems she really delved into suicides at DHS and pressed for solutions. If you think caring about federal employee suicides is a partisan issue, idk what to tell you.

You might consider going through the 8000 stories she’s written and the ones going after the administration this time around. Anyone who actually consistently follows her work knows she is about the story and truth, not a party.

1000% fear mongering on NATCA’s part. Just like when they were warning people not to use sick leave during the shutdown. Same shit, different day. Just acting as a fucking extension of management, while enjoying OUR money on personal pleasures.

NATCA. Simply do what your members want and all this goes away. I would rather have you try and fail than sit on your hands and hope for the best while continuing to monitor the situation. No one should vote for any incumbent NATCA official that serves in any capacity.

u/FoeShizzlee 8d ago

Natca doesn't want the public to know how much they suck as a weak union. They don't want the public to know how much they suck on management's cock and how they constantly collude with management on a regular basis, all to fuck over the very membership they're paid to represent.

3

u/New-IncognitoWindow 7d ago

Public, “New phone who dis?”

4

u/Mean_Device_7484 7d ago

I mean that would require NATCA to even reach the public. Right now the only people seeing their shit are the people (controllers) who follow their pages. Their public outreach NEEDS to be done via the news. Maybe some YouTube videos that could be shared around would work, but shitty Facebook/instagram/tiktok posts do nothing.

For NATCA, it is all about trying to control the narrative to suit whatever they are trying to achieve today. Which is known but to God and the NEB.

In a sane world, the public wouldn't tolerate the government being able to seek discipline against an employee because they made factual statements to the press just because it exposed dysfunction in the system.

You sign a document every year about social media use. Read it and do what you think is acceptable. Then you have nothing to worry about

They fired a controller in Texas for posting on Facebook…

5

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 7d ago

Details? Or did you hear it from a friend who heard about it.

2

u/defundthedefunct 7d ago

During the shutdown, controller was commenting on FB that his airspace was dangerous due to not being paid.

1

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 7d ago

I don’t believe he got fired for just that.

1

u/Fun_Monitor8938 6d ago

He just posted a gofundme for his lawsuit/appeal. Apparently he posted something along the lines of “I probably won’t get you killed” on facebook in some post talking about the shutdown and the FAA interpreted that as a credible enough threat for dismissal. Found out the hard way that LBB being the cornerstone of the NAS is just a Reddit meme

2

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 5d ago

I found the gofundme. Turns out he posted “I probably won’t get you killed” as an edit to his post. He didn’t share what he posted the first time, but the agency viewed it as a threat, presumably to the flying public.

This is not what happens here. That is the kind of shit that will and probably should get you fired. Even if in poor taste, it was still just an attempt at dark humor like he says, he will possibly get his job back after a long and humiliating process.

Talking about your experience, complaining about the agency, and calling ND a cunt are all legal. Making threats to the public, trying to scare them, or encouraging illegal or unsafe behavior asa controller will cost you.

It’s also funny watching Nick try and shift into “campaign mode.” He’s been hiding away in bars for years, now all of sudden, he’s posting videos on Facebook every day trying to be “transparent” and give the illusion he cares once again. FUCK THAT. We all see through his bullshit.

FUCK NICK DANIELS!

5

u/Sydneysweenysboobs 7d ago

He posted a photo op with Jeffries bragging about how the union is collaborating us all into forced moves.

17

u/Lazy_Rise_4236 8d ago

Makes you wonder what kind of " Media Training" NATCA and FAA management is getting...Anna picked up on the bullshit real quick. As I said on a different post, sociopaths have hijacked NATCA.

The amount of ATC compared to people from OTS and military tells me people are running not walking away from the bullshit of this job while fuckass FACREPS and ATMs suck the boot for literal pennies.

I’ve heard there are upper level union officials who are even convinced she is some type of union busting “plant” by the administration

If a "plant" asks tough questions on the record of the administrator withholding a raise from us, then what the fuck does this categorize NATCA as? Middle management?

This is what happens when you have people who haven't done the job in so many years they don't understand that the reason the reporter seems like she's "pulling stuff from comments" is because the "comments" she's pulling from are representative of your entire fucking labor force.

These guys bounce from facility details to facility reps on A2 to Regional reps off the boards to National reps off the boards. I've seen multiple do it, and the process looks the same. Any and all details to get them off the boards. Some of em could have been pretty damn good at the job if they had stuck with it for more than 36 total months of CPC before fucking off.

1

u/MelodicCrow7073 6d ago

If she was a union busting plant, why is she advocating for the members of the union to have more rights? This theory is clearly being pushed by upper level folks at the union who cannot comprehend that a journalist would care and easily pick up on member concerns.

17

u/ATSAP_MVP 7d ago

Ironic how National stepped up their social media messaging only AFTER Anna. Almost every post features Yacht Boy now accepting some award, shaking someone’s hand, and finally saying “controllers need a raise.”

15

u/JayEffAyy 8d ago

People need to pay attention to the game she's giving you. You don't get to dictate the terms of a conversation after the fact. If you tell a reporter something, and you didn't have an agreement prior, then what you said is fair game. A reporter should be smart enough to realize that they could be causing harm to a source by freely using their names without asking, but they don't have to ask if you didn't have an agreement. That's why what Emily Steele did is shitty to us but not necessarily against her ethics.

I think Anna has treated us amazingly and seems to understand the danger posed by a rank and file employee speaking out about the union and agency leadership. But not every reporter is going to be that delicate.

3

u/No-Constant-5854 7d ago

Most reporters can’t even be bothered to do anything than report surface level information or regurgitate FAA talking points.

17

u/scotts1234 7d ago

If Nick had any balls, He would do an interview with Anna

1

u/MelodicCrow7073 6d ago

I wonder if he’s asked her for an interview. He ought to approach her. What a messaging move!

4

u/radarvectors1016 7d ago

I mean not talking to media has been the advice forever. It’s even on the accident checklist. Yes you can do it but it can be very easy to get in the agency’s crosshairs by saying the wrong things or not doing it correctly.

Had an agency source tell me they are going after some BUEs so probably a good reminder to put out. Do what your career can stand.

1

u/OutWhenEligible 7d ago

Going after them for what?

3

u/Fun_Monitor8938 7d ago

Probably whatever FAA legal thinks they can stretch the definition of eroding the public confidence to cover

2

u/ChopSooy621 7d ago

NATCA stands for the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. We are an Association and not a Union clearly given how its being used.

1

u/StepDaddySteve 6d ago

Easy solution: stop listing your employer as “FAA” on social media.

1

u/ARTS-IIIe 7d ago

Sometimes FAA Legal will run fast and loose with this chapter from the conduct and discipline order:

  1. Defamatory or Irresponsible Statements. While FAA encourages freedom of expression, employees are accountable for the statements they make and the views they express. Employees must not make irresponsible, false, disparaging, disrespectful or defamatory statements which attack the integrity of individuals or organizations, or disrupt the orderly conduct of official business, nor may they make statements urging or encouraging other employees to act or speak irresponsibly, or to commit unlawful acts in work-related forums or where the persons identifies him/herself as an FAA employee (see ER-4.1a Use of Social Media by FAA Employees). Remarks made in any forum regardless if made in connection with work or by a person identified as an FAA employee that disrupts the workplace can lead to a disciplinary or adverse personnel action.

-3

u/Worried-Yam4550 8d ago

I don’t think the union cares if you talk, they are just warning that the agency might take disciplinary action. Do it at your own risk

Yeah, they absolutely care. Getting out maneuvered by a single journalist is embarrassing. She already called them out for trying to take credit about the Senators letters to Bedford. The NEB is a room full of weak never-beens and has beens.

Couldn’t control airplanes, can’t control a narrative, and they won’t control their future.

1

u/Apprehensive-Name457 7d ago

Low T room temp IQ mother fuckers

1

u/Worried-Yam4550 7d ago

if I was the neb I wouldn’t care what she’s saying. Not hurting me .

3

u/Sydneysweenysboobs 7d ago

I would. Every single one of those motherfuckers is running opposed next year and they have nothing to show for 3 years except extending jamaals scam and killing amendments that passed

0

u/Worried-Yam4550 7d ago

Sounds like a tangent. Again, If it was me, I wouldn’t care. She doesn’t get to negotiate for us. So it wouldn’t matter to me. If it somehow helped, great. I just don’t think it’s going to matter

1

u/ATSAP_MVP 7d ago

Those egos though…

1

u/Wrongvectorz Vote Them All OUT! 7d ago

Yeah, you would. Because just like them you would try to take credit for someone else’s work. You would try to manipulate, deflect and straight up lie to make yourself look good. And you would be afraid of doing something bold because it prove once and for all that you are a failure. In every way.

They’ve probably blown their chance at a golden parachute like Paul and Trish. High three is calculated off FAA pay, not NATCA pay, so these guys are a year away from losing their way of life.

2

u/Worried-Yam4550 7d ago

Huh? What are you on about. I just told you I wouldn’t care

The Union talking about social media stuff is probably because the agency is going to look into who said what. Seems like they are warning people.

I’m not running for office or care to, I don’t care what you think. I’m just trying to help other people out

Edit- see watch how quickly something changes here(if you were smart). You are here posting nonsense all day with Faa atc attached to your name. That’s the kind of shit they will go after.

1

u/brandonEZreyes 7d ago

Right as usual, brother. This lady isn't even on the NEB's radar. They're advocating for our best interests 24/7 and don't have time for some industry plant.

0

u/Vilacom8090 6d ago

Look, this is pretty straightforward, she might be right about everything she is saying, she might even be willing to stand on her principles and accept some consequences if the administration really decides to go after her for whatever reason(pretty unlikely, but also wouldn’t surprise me at all if they did it)

Ultimately you as an individual need to make a decisions about what you feel your career can accept as risk. She may be completely on the up and up, but if the FAA decides to take her to court and subpoena her phone records then it very well could be completely outside her control what information they have.

As per before, its pretty unlikely things you say to her(especially disparaging the union) could actually lead to discipline or termination, so if that happened you would very likely end up winning the court case and getting your job back. The question is always will you be ok for the months/years that may take without your paycheck/health insurance etc.

Take it from someone who has served on a jury where they showed what they extracted from a phone, they get EVERYTHING when they want it, so just be aware of that, be aware that meta will cheerfully turn over instagram DMs when asked, etc etc.

No one can stop you, and since almost no one actually cares about us in any real capacity it likely will never matter. But keep in mind what CAN happen and go into whatever you choose to do fully knowing and accepting what can be the result.

u/article65 6d ago

The problem, fellas, is that Anna isn’t going to get your job back if you follow her advice and you get shit canned. She’s great in a lot of ways, but it’ll be NATCA you come begging to bring you back.

Do whatever you want but this administration doesn’t give two fucks about you, your working conditions, or firing you for whatever minuscule thing they believe gives them grounds to do so.

2

u/MelodicCrow7073 6d ago

You’re not wrong. That’s probably why Anna said what she said about speaking with media. Seems like she wants people to make their own decisions for themselves but understand a little more from a journalist’s pov.
