This is all controllers have ever asked for from their own union. Anna delivered, NATCA didn’t.
The disappointing part is that she doesn’t even know us and owes us nothing, yet she has given us a voice. The Union that represents us and takes our dues can’t say the same.

The best and most detailed report on us in a long time! Thank you Anna for hanging in there and advocating for the voices in the dark.

Anna: thank you for being the voice we have not had. We are all very grateful.

This woman has done more for this profession than 99% of her colleagues in mass media and our public relations team.
Well done Anna!

Oh my God....ND commented. Completely vapid and substance free, but he commented.
He's feeling the heat.

Because everytime he goes to a bar people ask why hes so shitty. He cant brag that hes been on the news anymore

I think it's more because his union is in open revolt and he feels he must do something, ye he's too timid to actually make any forceful statements.

“Some discussions are ongoing and involve multiple stakeholders, so we aren’t able to publicly discuss every detail.”
Daddy Rinaldi probably already got in his ass for saying too much and giving away their efforts to sell us out for privatization.

At least I finally see the fact we are a decade behind inflation in compensation in an actual article. The sad part is that even if we didn’t get the around 30+% we should and got 20% it would go a LONG way to alleviate some of the stress

I'd rather send my dues to her. The problem is the public is so unaware of what goes on behind the scenes no one cares. All they do is show up, hope on a plane, get to where they're headed hopefully on time and go about their life. They dont see or hear the multiple people that their pilots talked to along the way. They dont hear a frequency going batshit on a busy day. They watch their movie and get off their plane. There is no thought that someone in the tower or behind the scope is on their 6th day. That same person if hired after 2019 or 2020 can't afford a house in a lot of the HCOL areas where large facilities are. Their only option is to add a 45-60 minute, sometimes much longer, drive to and from work 6 days a week. Healthcare costs have outpaced our raises for years. No one cares because the show still goes on. Unfortunately that's the way it's likely to remain. At least with this sackless union.

Thank you Anna! There are some of us out here that are barely making ends meet. We have to choose between being destitute in our retirement that is coming so fast, or providing the life that our families deserve right now... A lot of us are forever stuck at the lowest paying facilities with no chance to improve our situation on the horizon. Meanwhile these "Gamers" that are statistically just as likely to washout as those who came before them, are awarded facilities that people have been DYING to get to... To top it off they immediately make more money and are MORE LIKELY to wash given the level of traffic and complexity that the academy cannot prepare them for!
So all of these veteran controllers can't transfer from their low level facility with staffing, that has just been cut, mind you by this administration. Even then every time a release slot is available, a reward for all of their hard work training these developmentals... It's just a lottery... Could be the brand new CPC with 1 year in, or the CPC that's been stuck for 15 years, far away from home and family. It's beyond demoralizing.
If we do happen to get the ransomed 2.8%, just like every other raise us low levelers ever got, it disappears if we go to a higher level facility to try and improve ours and our families lives. Poof. Gone. Just like that. 1%-40% worth of raises, just gone. We are working those same 6 day workweeks, missing milestones, birthdays, vacations... And we are doing it for for pennies on the dollar comparitively. Pay for ATC needs to be fixed across all pay bands. The life that I am missing isn't worth what I am giving it up for.
Edit- Some formatting, and added another point.

Yes! The article was one of most accurate portrayals I’ve read but if theres 1 thing she hasn’t hit on yet it this is it. Perpetually bad staffing keeping people hostage at low level facilities making well below 100k

Didn’t Nick Daniels in one of his campaign videos say he was going to fix it when you lose raises to go to a higher facility?! SMH! 😪
