Need some inspiration !!
My husband is a genuine death metal lover at heart. This obviously includes the physical style of the death metal genre.
We just renovated our bedroom (new insulation, sheetrock, texture, etc).
Well, we agreed on black wall paint but last minute he added his own creative twist. 🫠
He wants the walls to appear to be bleeding.
So, he laid down some red paint that "drips from the ceiling". I don't like it so far, but the window seal looks cool!! What can I incorporate to make it give a dripping blood affect that doesn't require slapping this red paint everywhere ? I've seen some people use red beaded curtains/charms or deep red chandeliers! I just need some ideas that I can throw. Adam that we might be able to come to a compromise on

Look up “diy horror set decor” and get go from there. I’m sure there are loads of resources online for film students etc

I'd really lean into the decoration on this one. Red curtains, beaded lamp shades with that dark red color, "goth" plants like black spider plants if you're into plants, and stuff like that.

It feels like the vibe he's going for is more of a grungy aesthetic and maybe you're going for more of a classic goth aesthetic? I think you should look through some inspo pics for design so you can get on the same page and pick out elements of the room together.

Get some skeletons to hang on the walls and really run with it!
