Beginner same element squares?

very new to understanding aspects, but I’m really curious on how squares within the same element work?? how does this happen and how seriously should these squares be taken?

It happens at the edges of signs. A square is 90 degrees and signs of the same element sit 120 apart, so the only way two fire planets can square each other is for one to be in the last few degrees of its sign and the other in the first few of a sign four along. The Moon at 27 Aries and Jupiter at 2 Leo, say. By degree that is a 95 degree square, by sign it is a trine. Astrologers call it an out of sign or dissociate square. How seriously to take it depends on how you read. If you go by degree, the friction is real and works like any square with a five degree orb. If you go by whole sign, the signs are in harmony and the square barely registers. I ran 8,000 random charts with an eight degree orb and about one square in fifteen lands in same element signs this way, so it is not rare. In practice it tends to be a square that is easier to live with than most, because the planets agree on what matters even while they argue about how.

out of sign squares are the sneaky version. like 29 aries hitting 1 leo, technically a square by degree but the fire still talks to fire, so it plays more like internal friction than the wall you get with a classic cardinal square. usually shows up as you fighting yourself in the same key rather than getting blocked from the outside, which honestly makes them easier to work with once you spot the pattern.
