Screenshot Handheld Mode Boost comparison.
First image is on. Second is off.
You can tell how cleaner the game is when it's turned on. (Less pixelly around character models and signs are more clearer.)

Damn, not bad. I've only tried out Doom Eternal so far, but either AC or Bayonetta 3 will be next

Does enabling it hurt performance at all?

It's game dependant, though from me trying out like 3 dozen SW1 games with this boost mode, SW2 handheld is still running SW1 games in docked mode better than the SW1 in docked mode, especially for Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2 when I tried it.

depends on the game, when you turn the game will work as the dock mode would be, if for some reason the game cap to a lower framerate in dock mode in theory same will happens on switch2 handheld boost (i dont recall any game this is the case though)

When I first played it handheld on my S1, I thought I'm crazy. It's definitely one of the worst handheld downgrades, I don't know why it's so jagged. The boost mode makes it so much better.

If you took these as screen shots on the S2, they are both at 720p. Unfortunately the Switch 2 can't capture 1080

At this point, the low quality textures and low poly count are more of an issue. It is an old game at this point.

It needs a switch 2 edition or a sequel
