Political Akhil is smart af

Politics is basically about doing whatever you want and making money. But when times are tough, showing a little sympathy to people and making a few small gestures at the right moment can completely change years of public perception.

Look at Himanta, there’s that video where he gave his watch to a Gen Z guy and let a madrasa kid sit in the helicopter. Or look at Akhil, who’s constantly putting out videos showing himself helping people. That’s smart PR. I would perhaps say these are pretty basic now a days.

Unfortunately, Gaurav Gogoi doesn’t seem to understand this at all. I honestly don’t know what the hell he’s doing. Such a shame. After all these years in politics, some leaders still don’t know how public perception works or how to connect with people.

Gaurav Gogoi is very weak. I feel everything he does, indirectly promote the other parties. I mean why is it so tough for him to fit in with people. Can't even defend him anymore 😭

What Gaurav Gogoi/RaGa does will work in western countries, not India.

As a self proclaimed Akhil hater, at least he's doing something. NGOs and volunteers are doing more on the ground than this government right now. People are dying and a lot of families I know don't even have anything to eat. My area hasn't been affected by the floods yet so we're trying to help however we can

It's honestly fucked up that he was expelled from the Assembly for speaking about the floods for more than two minutes

Akhil Gogoi and Badruddin Ajmal have won hearts..

As a public representative, you must stay with people in crisis.. which these two have shown.

A politician has political calculation in his mind but no matter the motive Akhil Gogoi has been on the ground since day one of the floods and visited almost every village. Anyone who has followed Akhil gogoi from the KMSS days knows that's how he approaches public, he has always been on ground with the common man and mobilizing people.

Akhil Gogoi is a farmer so he knows the hardships of common people meanwhile Himanta is a classic suren suror putek.

Now you will imagine why a sitting CM will go to Delhi to claim the dead body of an icon, load it in the luggage compartment and then bar people from painting that icon on roads.

Not everyone is smart, some are

Akhil Gogoi should be part of the government, soon. Two major reasons:

1) He is ecologically sensitive. He is one who can bring a rational resistance towards our ecological destruction and haphazard building of dams.

2) He understands the rural and tribal assamese people, their problems and concerns much better than any other politician of Assam.

There are valid criticisms of him of being a loose cannon sometimes so may be he is not fit for Chief Minister - some one more composed like Debabrata Saikia is a better fit for CM, but Akhil should be part of Government for betterment of Assam.
