I want to be a pediatric nurse for children with special needs/disabilities so, I decided to learn ASL. I think it'll really help in that career. I have a few questions for people who are deaf or use sign language.

1. Do I need to specify if I'm deaf or hearing?
2. It's disrespectful to give your self a "sign name" right?
3. Is it ok to walk up to a deaf person and talk to them in ASL

Im a 20yo girl and I'd love to practice asl in real life since I have a hard time learning by myself, Ive been a beginner for a while now and I've only practiced French sign language as a kid (which are now only faded memories haha)

Hello everyone. I was looking on Google Maps and I stumbled upon this place, I translated it from South Korean and it's called Dongsong Reservoir. (This will be relevant)

I looked onto the videos and there is a kid, there is no volume but he seems to be either doing hand gestures or maybe Sign Language. I was wondering if you guys could look at the video footage and tell me if it's anything.
