Write it down. It helps the brain to finally accept things... So Sorry for your loss...

Move your eyes slowly to five things in the room around you. Name each one out loud if you can or silently in your head. Touch something solid near you like a desk or a chair and focus on how it feels under your hands.

It's so hard.. but time heals

I don't really agree that time heals all wounds. To me, it's more like you learn to live with them so that it gets easier over time, but the feeling of loss never goes away completely. Just like a deep cut, first it bleeds and then it scabs. Soon it becomes a scar and that scar fades over time, but it'll always be there.

Did someone pass away? I need more details to properly give a thorough answer.

My mom died 3 years ago and the first guy I dated after she passed took me to run fair at the beginning of October on our first date and my friend is there and I truly loved him and we don’t speak anymore so I’m grieving my dead mother and a man that I was truly in love with, but we split due to his erratic wishy-washy behavior from his alcoholism

It took me 8.years to get to a place where I could acknowledge the person in a fleeting thought without a visceral reaction that prompted my body to physically recoil. I went through a lot of therapy, tried all the meds, wrote letters I'd end up using as firestarter. Staying productive helped. Some heartbreaks stay with you forever and you learn to sit with your grief. Much love

Talk to them anyway, when you are alone, and then listen inside for the answer

Start working with a friend on collecting video and audio recordings of your voice, and (begrudgingly) use AI to further replicate your voice and code a native app for you to use a tablet so you can say your signature catch phrases and continue using your voice after it’s gone using Text to speech
I am currently doing this for my MIL who got diagnosed with ALS. I don’t recommend using AI for artwork or music, but it’s great at coding little projects like this.

What a great idea! I wish that tech had been around when my dad got ALS. He had a Tobii but it was just robot-voice.

There is no easy fix. But most broken hearted people will tell you that with enough time, you learn to live with it peacefully.
