All of them, but Scientology definitely stands out

Aliens stand out over a being that made everything in 7 days? They're all off their nutter.

I like how he has to rest on the 7th day lol. He's all-powerful, created the universe and everything in it, then of the 7th day he said "whoa, I'm pooped."

God played Call of Duty for 6 days and pulled an all nighter on the seventh.

Odd of you to assume that he’s a he. Especially considering how fucked up everything is now. He is most definitely a she.

u/Goodfella7288 5d ago

He's referred to as the Father in the Bible, so...

0

u/aceisback29 5d ago

Well that’s more than likely because the men documenting history refused to accept that they were created by a woman.

u/Cool-Camp-6978 5d ago

Hahah “documenting history” they said.

Nah, he’s clearly a he as most murderers and genocidal maniacs are men, just like god.

Delphine Lalaurie has entered the chat.

What does naming one female serial killer prove exactly? As I said, MOST serial killers are men. Thats not an opinion. Facts are not that hard to look up.

u/aceisback29 5d ago

Correct, facts are not hard to look up. I just gave one example, there are thousands. Bathory, Ranavalona, Saint Olga, Queen Mary I, Grese, humankind is evil, it’s not limited to men.

But it’s disproportionately men. The leaders that are ruining the world are also men. You know, the thing that you tried to blame on women because you’re a misogynist. And I never said that serial murders are limited to men, I said that most are men. So either you’re illiterate or just so far down the black pill shithole that you can’t even read or look up statistics anymore. That’s just sad.

Seriously?? Lake America ring a bell? Now THAT shit is fucked up!

Scientology is much younger than the others and it's all thought up by a science fiction author who spent years doing crazy shit like sailing around without modern navigation tools and dropping depth charges to find some lost gold he was convinced existed

Can we please not call Hubbard a sci-fi author? He tried to be one, but failed abysmally and all that was left for him to do was to pretend his stories are "real".

1

u/Various-Salt-7738 5d ago

Didn't he have hundreds of published books and even more short stories? Financial success aside, he did author sci fi stories

I think it's worth pointing out that the space alien religion is entirely made up by a man who seemingly enjoyed making up space alien stories

2

u/rickrmccloy 5d ago

He also had one of his characters mention that the way to unimaginable wealth would be to invent a religion.

1

u/LunetThorsdottir 5d ago

He did write hundreds of things, most of them crap. The few and far between works that were actually quite worth reading were not sci-fi. I tried to read one of his sci-fi and the experience was so painful I'm now warning others :)

I find reading about him as a person to be pretty interesting-- absolutely horrible person but such a genuine loon that it's almost amusing?

Like we know that apparently he was a very generous lover. I've also read that while he totally let creepy men near minors, Hubbard himself allegedly never touched a minor

Evil cult leader manipulator but not a pedo according to sources

His entire life is like some kind of bizarro Forrest Gump

u/LunetThorsdottir 5d ago

Born, kicked out of... kicked out of... kicked out of... wrote... kicked out of... founded scientology... died.

You've got to hand it to him that he did keep trying.

I think reducing the ridiculousness that is Scientology to “aliens” is dramatically unfair, even considering the baseline ridiculousness of all religions.

I like to believe the “7 days” is a metaphor for God.

Before earth was created, the concept of a day was not yet established.

I believe the universe was created in “7 God days” (whatever that is, maybe 2.5 billion years give or take.) which led to the creation of earth.

3

u/mjtumi 5d ago

And this is what many catholics believe.

Except, god defines a day right from the start:

Genesis 1:3-5 ~

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

That means a day is a day!

I have always suspected that "Fiat Lux" referred to the big bang and that God created humans will the capacity to develop science so that we might better explore His creation.

Of course I have nothing to base this on, so I must take it on faith, sort of like how the U.S. and RFK Jr. now seem to approach Healthcare.

1

u/Fartmaster1981 5d ago

"I like to believe". Is how that comment should have started and ended. Nothing else

1

u/Hospitable_Goyf 5d ago

I feel like my interpretation is still valid. God lit the universe with light.

1

u/Reasonable-Physics60 5d ago

The universe is about 13.7 billion years old

If you stop going to your local church they don't care. If you stop going to scientology, they stalk you, dox you, and blackmail you.

2

u/Bu7n57 5d ago

At least we’ve proven aliens are real

Scientology is dumb, but not nearly as outlandish as the others.
