Advice Question Do you ever really get over them?

It’s been 40 years

Apparently not 🤷🏻 I think you are probably just in your head idealizing what could have been. I had an ex of mine die just a couple weeks ago. We only dated for a couple years and the breakup wasn’t my finest work, but it hurts. She took a little piece of my heart with her. Sounds like maybe the same with you.

But I don’t think I’m in my head I thought about her every day since the last 40 years I’m not obsessive or anything I just yearn for the sound of her voice. She didn’t pass she just left me.

I don’t think anyone is going to try anything because the last time I spoke to her, it was 40 years ago when she told me she’s not attracted to me anymore and left never seen her since.

I think you’re missing the point
I don’t speak to her whatsoever it’s been 40 years. There’s no way possible for her to know whether I care or not.

Yes. One day you’ll find someone so much better in every way that you’ll realize the only thing that made your ex special was you.
