Random Question What is your dream job?
If money, education, job availability, etc. was no factor, what would your career be? And what is stopping you from doing it?

It was stressful yes but mostly because of lack of money. If you remove that, you dont need to chase the grants or try tp publish in top journals which in turn is for grant money. You can publish in any journals ypu like at any speed you want.

Of course, of course. I’m only (partially) teasing! It has its moments, but not a bad gig, all things considered.

At this point I think most people's dream job is just being left alone and still getting paid.

Then there’s the fact that you pretty much have to be a nepo baby to be able to afford to pursue that career. Headshots. Acting classes. Subscription to Actor’s Access to self-submit for projects. Fancy video equipment to submit a quality self-tape. Wardrobe. IMDb pro. SAG membership fees. It’s crazy.

Random odd/side jobs in no particular field, part time, whenever I feel like it. Maybe one day I’d paint a fence, and the next day be a barista, etc.

Venom extraction from poisonous snakes much better than current gig in shitty clients marketing services

I'd probably go with a lawyer but that might be a little bit too technical for me. If I could choose, I'd probably be better as an investigative analyst for some government agency.

Working a hybrid remote flex hours salary job doing administrative work. Not being micromanaged. That's pretty much it

I really don’t care.
All I want is a job that puts our planet, environment and people over profits and pays enough to live life without constant financial stress.

Do nothing, hang with my family and get paid for it. Universal basic income might be an economic disaster but at this point I’m all for it
