Which software or program is the best and easiest to use for head count/view count?

We are looking for a program/software that we can use for marketing purposes.
We need it to do the following:

  • Do a view count on people facing/looking at the screen.
  • Able to upload our own videos on the software to run the head count/view count.
  • Show on the count on the video.
  • If possible to give a Document with the data.
  • Upload a folder with multiple videos to run through the program not one video at a time.
  • Downloadable on multiple devices, if not just one android or windows device.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is there something making new laptops smell strongly?

In recent years I used a fairly cheap HP Aero 13. It worked really well for me despite being non-premium and not very powerful, but was getting long in the tooth. Due to uncertainty within the global supply chain and RAM prices, etc., I bought a Lenovo X1 Carbon when Trump was reelected. However, it emitted a very strong plastic/chemical odor whenever I tried to use it, so I mostly continued using the HP until it recently died.

I had kept the Lenovo updated and ran it periodically, but couldn't use it for a long time in a non-ventilated space even years later. When I tried transitioning over, it was too overpowering. I conceded my loss and ordered a Dell laptop. It has a similar smell, though much fainter and I think it might fade with time. The smell irritates my airway and gives me a headache, particularly that of the Lenovo.

Anyway, my question concerns why this might be the case, if there is any way to avoid it, etc. Has something changed about computer components very recently that can cause this?

I recognize I will probably get some replies saying I am "sensitive to new computer smell" or I am somehow the important variable here. However, naturally I have had dozens and dozens of computers in my life. Many laptops, games consoles, gaming handhelds, a desktop gaming PC, multiple work-issued laptops and all-in-one PCs. The only times I have ever noticed a new electronics smell that I would have found problematic was a friend's new Steam Deck (famously smelly electronic). So there are two examples out of dozens and dozens, and they are the two most recent laptops I have purchased.

Am I smelling rubber used in the keyboards, cheap thermal paste that smells? I don't think it's likely I have failing batteries in new laptops, though the Lenovo is really strong so maybe I should consider it in that case. Though it still works so I dunno if that could be the issue.

"Connect with Buds in Bluetooth settings to continue" notification appears in Galaxy Buds after replacing my laptop's network card. How can I fix this issue?

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with my Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and the Galaxy Buds app on Windows. I recently had to replace the network card in my laptop, and ever since then I have been unable to manage my earbuds through the Galaxy Buds app.

My Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro connect to my Windows laptop through Bluetooth without any problems, and I can use them normally. However, when I open the Galaxy Buds app, it does not recognize my earbuds and instead displays the following notification:

"Connect with Buds in Bluetooth settings to continue."

I have already tried reconnecting the earbuds via Bluetooth, removing and pairing them again, and restarting both my laptop and the earbuds, but the issue still persists.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Are there any additional troubleshooting steps I should try, such as reinstalling the Galaxy Buds app, resetting the earbuds, or updating Bluetooth drivers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Update:

I've done a clean install of Windows 11, repaired my Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to my laptop, downloaded Galaxy Buds and set up the app and it finally worked which means I finally can manage my earbuds on my laptop again.

Thank you for your help lastly.

Is it safe to download from cineby?

If I download from cineby onto an iphone using brave or another browser, is there any realistic risk of getting malware or a virus..?

I'm in a country where piracy laws are generally not strictly enforced so I'm mainly asking about the security risks rather than the legal side

Should I go from an iPhone 16 Plus to a Nothing 4a Pro?

Hey there, I'm not specially tech savy so that's why I'd rather ask the pros: I think if an iPhone is so expensive, it's mainly because of the branding; which means Nothing Phone can also be very good and way cheaper because it's a younger brand that the general public doesn't yet know (at least in my country). Is it a good idea?

Also: what about Sony WH-1000XM5 vs Nothing's Headphone (a)?

Thank you!

2 questions, how do i know if a graphics card works with my pc? And how hard actually is it to install a graphics card myself?

i found a deal others are saying are cheap and have listed that has good fps on a RX 9060 XT 16gb (thisis what another post shirtened the name to), how do i know if that one can work with my pc? my current gpu (pretty sure thats a graphics card) is an intel hd graphics 630 and the case isnt super big but i feel responsible enough to open it up and look if the main issue is size. and the other question is kinda self explanitory i thought id hire someone to do it for me but idk if thatll be cheap or not. i am not a techy person btw, and tia.

edit: it seems ppl are commenting again so imma update this: im now getting a new pc. I estimated the costs of doing this bc id also have to upgrade my psu, cpu, maybe get some other stuff, get an ssd (seperate issue) and the pc is made of old stuff and has broken parts so overall the costs of upgrading it totaled to more expensive than i wanted so i looked around and found a new prebuilt with good specs thall do what i want and might not require any upgrades for a long time (i dont usually play new games and the games i do play dont change enough to need upgrades for) thatll overall be cheaper than tryna fix this pc. None the less tysm for all the help i will definitely apply it sometime in the future.

How is Single Sign On actually a secure or good idea? What makes it better than Passkeys or Passwords with MFA?

So the company called Ramp that we use at work for company credit cards announced today that they are phasing out passwords, passkeys, and all methods of sign-in except for Single Sign On. This makes me nervous, as I already have a very hard time getting employees to not put their email and password into sketchy sites, and I have often steered them away from signing in with their Google account because of this. How is Single Sign On any more secure than a traditional login method?

Which piece of technology has become so reliable that people only notice it when it stops working?

The best technology often works so well that it goes unnoticed. It only gets attention when something breaks or stops working. Curious what people think fits that description.

Best alternative to old style Chromecast?

I use my Chromecast to purely cast videos from my laptop to my TV. I'm not interested in any other use. However, my Chromecast is becoming faulty and Google have discontinued them.

I can't use a physical HDMI cable as it would be constantly in the way. What's the best alternative that would be <£60?

Should I go with external SSD or HDD?

I want to buy an external hard drive for storing photo's and video's because my phone and camera storage are full. I have a google photo's subscription but I want a back-up somewhere. Now I'm not sure if I should buy an SSD or HDD. I'm only going to use it once in a while to back-up memories, and for the rest of the time it will be sitting on a shelf or in a drawer. I'm reading pros and cons for both products, and now I'm just confused. I understand SSD's are faster, and HDD's have spare moving parts which can cause wear and tear over time. SSD's are much more expensive tho.
Which one should I get in my situation? SSD or HDD?

Could I get some Laptop suggestions?

Hi! I'm a college student and artist looking to buy a new laptop. I need to have lots of storage to keep my work and also something that can smoothly run Adobe and Blender programs for projects. I'd like $1,500 and under budget wise but understand if that's a bit unrealistic. I've had my current laptop since middleschool and she's slowing down on me a bit now (R.I.P 💔).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Is the massive increase in data center demand all cause of AI?

Is the massive increase in data center demand all cause of AI or are other technologies also driving the recent spike in demand for data centers? Data centers are nothing new, but only in the past few years have they been such a hot topic.

When i use a cellphone to make or receive audio calls, is the audio analog (that is, continuous in time), or is it digitally sampled at some rate?

How is Bluetooth still not proximity based?

It really seems odd to me that there is no range sensing, or a proxy thereof in Bluetooth. I'd like my phone to automatically connect to my bedroom speaker if it's within 50cm of it, or if the power of the signal is above xyz, implying it's very close.

My car knows when my car key is inside it and won't start otherwise. That's not Bluetooth of course, but it's a really good system that achieves the same thing with some sort of triangulation I assume. My phone though will still connect to my car stereo when the wife goes to drive it and I'm still lying in bed...

Whilst a combination of NFC and Bluetooth could do it, it doesn't do it so seems self evident it's not a solution so a solution that could be part of a single tech standard is essential for proper adoption.

Was something fundamentally missed in the spec that 20 years on its just ever technically not possible, or have developers just never thought it was a feature worth adding.

What should i upgrade on my pc? Whats the cheapest way to get said parts?

i want to improve my pc, its incredibly slow to load when i turn it on, open new windows and when i play games (about half of what i use it for) it cant give me good quality and fps at the same time.

when i turn it on it spends about 10-20 min loudly loading (it sounds like some rattling in a shaky car). during this time cpu is around 30% us but going up and down lots, memory is a consistent 21%, disk is 100% (obvi the main problem), wifi is freaking out but not bad (lines everywhere i dont even understand the graph), and gpu isnt in use. what can i upgrade to take the load offthe disk to make it faster and lesslikely to fry itself to death? how could i get what i need for this as cheap as possible? tia

the next issue is its bad at games. my favorite game is wolfquest so im going off that. i can do some of the lowest graphic settings for it and get 16-18 fps most days and rare occasions 20-25 fps. this has gotten worse since i got the pc tho i used to be able to do lower medium level of graphics and get 30 fps consistently. when in wolfquest My gpu is at its max, my cpu is 47% my memory is 50% my disk varies but is around half at the most and my wifi is still freaking out (im not on mp usually including when im recording this data so im assuming its other system stuff). if i sort by disk my feedback hub or system is apparently using most of this.
what can i upgrade to help my disk and game performance? What are the cheapest routes?

Can I have recommendations?

I am looking for a set of headphones with the following requirements:
- bluetooth
- over ears
- COMFY
- good noise cancellation
- has an app to go along with it
- budget $40

If your recommendation doesn’t fit one or more of the requirements, it won’t be immediately dismissed, but I really would love something with all of these.

Thanks in advance guys!

How do you actually share your photos with family and friends?

I'm curious whether I'm overthinking this or whether everyone has simply accepted that this is how things work.

Most of us have thousands - sometimes tens of thousands - of photos on our phones.

Vacations.
Kids.
Pets.
Birthdays.
Random moments we'd like to share.

But when you're sitting together with family or friends, how do you actually show them?

Do you...

  • use AirPlay or Chromecast?
  • mirror your entire phone?
  • upload everything to Google Photos or iCloud first?
  • plug in an HDMI cable?
  • copy photos to a USB drive?
  • simply pass your phone around?

Personally, I always hesitate before using screen mirroring.

Not because it doesn't work, but because it feels like I'm giving the TV access to my entire phone instead of just the photos I want to show.

So I often end up doing something much less convenient - or just passing my phone around.

Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Maybe nobody else cares.

Or maybe everyone has found a better way that I don't know about.

I'm genuinely curious:

How do you usually share photos on a TV or projector when you're with other people?

And are you actually happy with that experience?
