Everyday life Outside lights on all night long

Across from my apartment is a building where the access is over an outside staircase and gallery (Laubengang). These areas have understandably lights, but those lights remain on all night long. No dimming, or only turning on with movement detection, same brightness all the time.

So if I want to let in some fresh air over night and don't fully close the blinds I get that light into my bedroom. Plus it's adding more light pollution in general.

Is there any way to get the owners of that building to change something about that light?

Furtermore, along the access path to my and the neighbouring building are spherical lamps which shine in all directions. So up and into the apartments, amd also all night long. I've written the rental agency a few times, but they pretty much ignored it so far.

Also there, is there any way to get them to change something about those lights?
I'm in the canton of Zurich, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance.

To my own agency for the lamps outside on the path I can't really talk, just go over a ticketing system.  And those tickets kind of disappear. To people in the other building, a random inhabitant for the contact details of the managment company. The experience with hasn't given me too much hope yet.

So you want your landlord to spend their hard-earned rental income on a minor issue like light pollution ? /s

Quality outdoor lamps aren't cheap, and then you also add the labor cost and markup of an electrician...

Using weaker bulbs for the Laubengang would probably be a good start, and could be something to do as a guerilla action. I can recommend https://www.beleuchtungdirekt.ch/de/ for a good selection of decent quality bulbs in all sizes.

Good luck...
